Illegal Alien Iowa DEI School Superintendent Arrested by ICE -How Deep Does This Go?

So he apparently was illegal between 2005 and December 2018, but received an employment authorization that was valid between December 2018 and December 2020.  As I suspected, he had also applied for citizenship via his marriage to a US citizen.  But his application was denied after “a failure to respond to a request for additional information.”

The letter Roberts provided from the Texas attorney was apparently about an effort to reopen his immigration case, which didn’t happen (so still odd IMO for the lawyer to call it a “successful resolution”).  But it seems the lawyer is saying Roberts didn’t pay them lol.

Perhaps the nail in the coffin for him is that they found a copy of the deportation order in a car in his garage.

Decent amount of new information in here.  But nothing about anything that happened prior 1999.  And unless I missed it nothing about the gun charge from 2020 either, or any charges other than the ones this month for that matter.

Keep defending your BOI!!!!!! 😂

I’m good with deporting him.  Hopefully they just do that rather than waste more taxpayer dollars trying to prosecute him criminally.

Yeah, cause why would he want to hold people accountable for breaking our laws?  We should stop prosecuting American citizens criminally too, unless you're ok with giving illegals special treatment American citizens don't get?  And if we stop prosecuting everyone for breaking the law look what it will do for our crime rates so you libs can claim what a great job you're doing fighting crime!!!!!

That’s quite the jump.  No, I’m not saying we should stop prosecuting American citizens, I’m saying we should send illegal immigrants back where they came from, rather than spend taxpayer dollars to prosecute and then imprison them.  Especially in cases like Abrego Garcia where we let a convicted human trafficker roam the streets so that he could testify against Abrego Garcia who wasn’t even charged with human trafficking.

So an illegal can come here, commit murder, get caught, and we just send him back home instead of spending taxpayer dollars to prosecute and imprison that person?  GTFOH.

BTW, according to your girl Laura Powell, this dooshbag has a protective order against him for an act of violence against a man who's wife he slept with.  Apparently when the man confronted him about sleeping with his wife, your upstanding "Doctor" pointed a gun at him.   His wages are (or were since he's unemployed now) being garnished for at least one child he apparently wasn't paying child support for.   He may have committed mortgage fraud too.

THIS is the guy you've been defending for a week.

You are spending SOOOOO much time on this one guy. If you're married, I really feel for your wife/children.

Fair point, I’m good with imprisoning murderers.  I’m still not convinced this guy would meet RealTim’s definition of “violent“ though.  “He pointed a gun at someone” is kinda reaching IMO.

Thanks for confirming you believe Powell’s reporting now, lol.  She didn’t say his wages were being garnished for child support btw, she said it was because of an unpaid debt.

It sucks that our tax dollars go to this fool Tim Hauck so he can sit around all day doing this. Has the balls to say we should send this criminal back to save money. How about you go do some work instead of mooching off the rest of us?

RealTim doesn't get to define ANYTHING so not sure why you're bringing him in to this.  In fact, bringing RealTim in to any discussion is pretty much a discussion killer.

Why do you think your tax dollars pay for my work?

You work? I assume you don’t because you have never told us what you do. You’re on disability, right?

The prosecuting isn't for this go-round.  It's for when he comes back under Newsom's presidency.  They need to have the convictions on record to help fast track getting him outta here again or else people like you will say, "well they didn't prosecute him."

Well his supposed February 2020 gun charge occurred while he had legal residency.  And we still don’t know if that was ever prosecuted.

Exactly.  And you latched onto that as some kind of defense when it was obvious this guy is a grifter.  As long as we have people like you out there, we have to make sure every i is dotted and every t is crossed.  We can't use common sense.

So this guy lied about going to MIT and they still gave him the job? So many of these DEI hires have fake resumes and have been found to have plagerized.  SC justice, federal judges, university presidents. It’s no wonder President Trump won’t tolerate it. Why do democrats?

DMPS suing consulting firm they paid $40k to find Roberts.

https://www.kcci.com/article/ian-roberts-des-moines-superintendent-dmps-school-board-special-meeting-friday/68434468

Apparently he was the only finalist named by the consulting firm.  I think that’s odd in general, but especially odd considering they knew he initially lied on his resume.  (Still not clear DMPS knew)

This guy was a real rascal

👉He is also rumored to have been caught having sex with a female co-worker on school property in his previous role as a superintendent in rural Pennsylvania, a post he held from 2020 to 2023.

Former colleagues claimed to The Post that Roberts was a sketchy figure and pathological liar. They said they felt he was hired because of his diversity, equity and inclusion bona fides — and claimed that once on the job, he did little work.

“He was a player. He liked the women,” a source who knew Roberts, who asked not to be named, told The Post.

Another source expressed concern to the school board in Pennsylvania that Roberts might not be a legal resident based on casual comments he had made — but their concern was ignored, they said.”

Hey @TimHauck, the following article answers a lot of the "questions" you have that have absolutely no relevance to this case, but here you go:

https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/crime-and-courts/2025/10/02/ian-roberts-des-moines-superintendent-dmps-us-work-authorization-complaint-atf/86482051007/

I already posted the direct link to the complaint, not a media article, dummy.

I understand why you're trying to rewrite your posting history.  You did the same thing with covid.  It's your M.O. at this point.

What did I “rewrite” about Covid?  In a couple years I was wrong a couple times, but I was right a lot more than I was wrong, and was right a lot more than you.
