Instead of banning the play, I don't know why they don't just officiate it correctly (using replay assist if necessary).  The play will naturally go away if 4th and 1 too often turns into 4th and 6.

Right...they do not officiate it right. They never call linemen for moving too soon and they never call forward progress stopped and if you don't call that, then eventually it will be a touchdown.
