If there are 18 teams stronger than Kansas, then all of us will be lucky enough to witness the best season of college basketball of all time

Pretty sloppy first half for KU/UNC, but it's to be expected in early November.

Caleb Wilson has looked really good for the Tar Heels.

RIP :(

I invited him to come to Lawrence and watch them play at AFH a year or two ago and he didn't take me up on it.

I was really hoping to see DP against Dook :(

looks like Bidunga gets his chance to see if he can keep KU competitive against some of the best bigs out there

I feel like I'm talking to myself, but I know a couple of you are paying attention.

I like the fact they are allowing continuation after fouls.  Makes sense to me.

I'm ready for four quarters of play at the college level.  Get away from the foul and free throws at the end of each half and allow the game to be played more continuously.  Also maybe get to a point where you allow 6 fouls before a player is fouled out.

I know the score isn't reflective, but I was impressed with the way KU handled themselves last night.  Down arguably the best freshman in the country and the team was hanging around with Dook.  Last year's KU team would have been blown out of the water.

Going to be an exciting season of college basketball

Also, can Cameron Boozer even dunk?  Dude has to be one of the most unathletic, highly touted prospects I can remember.  Slow as molasses :ninja:

Will somebody engage me in this thread? :bench::(

Is anyone following this players era deal?  It's basically changing anything we've ever known about college basketball.  Never in my life have I seen Bill Self instruct his team to start chucking threes when you're up 11 at the end of the game.

So five teams went undefeated, and you have Michigan and Gonzaga playing in the championship for $1M, with $500k going to the loser in additional NIL money.  Third place game, KU and Tennessee playing for $300k to the winner and $200k to the loser.  All based on point differential in the two wins.  Then Iowa State won two but gets royally kinda focked.

Now this thing is going to like 32 teams next year with a similar format?  Get the fock out of here, and let's just get back to tournaments where winning is all that matters.

you should be happy, your team is playing for either $1M or $500k.  Plus, you're on the west coast and not stuck like Maryland with an 11:59pm local tip time :dunno:

I really like college bb don’t usually follow until January. I had to look this up after reading your post. One one hand this brings interest early into the season one the other the point differential seems like a bad idea. Why create an opportunity for something shady

They're structuring it like the NBA summer league I guess.  I assume this money is going straight to the players, so kind of incentive for these players to make some bank.
