In my world, MDC is shorthand for Millions of Dead Cops. They're decent, not one of my favorites but have a few killer songs. This one springs to mind, since every time I hear it now I think "there's Geeks that probably literally believe the lyrics describe a typical liberal household."

Respectfully disagree.  Anytime I try and have a rational discussion with jerry he just accuses me of repeating what "MSDNC tells me", which is absurd.  Furthermore he shares links to debate instead of using his own thoughts.  He's turned into a troll just like many of the others.

Thanks.  Gutter used to be a good guy, center-right actually, but something broke him.  It may be that he posts at a place called the Sanctuary, which is a close-knit group of folks who used to engage in good discussions, but word is that it has turned into a TDS-driven far left echo chamber.  Same with Rusty -- was center-right, posts at the Sanctuary, and now spends his day pretending to be a trans woman on a low-rent FF message bored.   

Anyway, back on topic, Biden has set the precedent, so now Trump, on his way out, will pardon everyone in his family for all crimes they committed or may have committed for the past however many years.  In the words of MDC, wheeee!

Perhaps no one has really changed much, and in reality we have just become less likely to engage in thoughtful discussion due at least partially to the miasma of outrage porn we all ingest on a daily basis. Maybe we are just reflecting broad changes in our society.

I've only been here a few years, so everything I've experienced here is through the TDS lens (and I mean that as a condition that afflicts everyone in this country that pays any attention, whether pro- or anti- Trump) of reductive statements, gross generalizations, and discussions that are more about scoring points, gotcha's, and domination than about discourse. Maybe if we all dial it back just a wee bit...

Under ordinary circumstances, I’d think Biden pardoning his family is weird. Now that Trump’s been ordering the DOJ to file nonsense charges against people he doesn’t like, it makes a lot more sense.

I won’t be surprised when Don pardons his family on the way out the door. He already pardoned and went into business with a guy who worked with child pornographers and terrorist. I expect a Gislaine Maxwell pardon too.
