House passes bill criminalizing gender-affirming care for minors

Recommended Posts

 😂🌈

Democrats won't vote for it because they love sexualizing Children.

The House on Wednesday voted to pass a bill that could imprison health care providers for providing gender-affirming care for minors.

The bill — titled the “Protect Children’s Innocence Act” and sponsored by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia — would make it a class C felony to treat minors with gender-affirming care like surgeries and puberty blockers. If enacted, the bill could imprison doctors who provide such care for up to ten years.

Ms. Greene said that the legislation delivered on one of Mr. Trump’s key campaign promises and that Congress needed to act to codify his executive order ending gender-affirming medical treatments.

“Most Americans agree that kids just need to grow up before they do anything radical, like a mastectomy on a 15-year-old girl,” she said on Wednesday on the House floor, pointing at a poster board of a child who had undergone such a surgery.

We shouldn't even have to make legislation like this. Child abuse is already illegal. Weird how people try to make excuses so they can get away with abusing kids in this specific way.

Liberals will never stop trying to hurt the groups of people they claim to champion in this country.

Gotta keep them in need.

Question: can you tell us what a woman is?

Female liberal Supreme Court judge: "I'm not a biologist." 😆

😆

The squidtard thinks focking up children's bodies is "health care".

Liberals are so stupid.

I can't wait for that liberating moment when some guy who says he's a girl has the first tranny abortion. It will be historic and empowering for all trannies to show they truly have women's rights.

They should if parents are abusing and mutilating their kids. Or that's ok?

Not analogous IMO. Federally required vaccines protect the public at large from pandemics or epidemics.

So by "never" the quote should have said not never---only in certain cases.  Gotcha

It should go with out saying that preventing a pandemic or an epidemic would be the exception.

It should also go without saying that making permanent changes to a minor's biology because of feelings when neither their brain or body is fully developed is wrong.  We don't let them drive, drink smoke or vote for a reason.

We are talking about a personal health decision made by a patient, their family and their doctors, which only direclty affects the individual family involved, versus a potential epidemic or pandemic that could impact the entire nation. If you can't grasp that distinction, then there is really nothing more to say (so I'll let you have the last word, which you would do anyway).

This is a sick person that thinks a 12 year old boy can hack off his Pennis if mom agrees.

Hate to burst your bubble, but minors are definitely allowed to drive.

My congressman voted against this righteous bill. I’ve had enough, he won’t be getting my vote again. Let a left wing nut have his seat.

You got me there...the point is there are age requirements for activities and actions of children regardless of what their parents believe is appropriate.

The contradiction is yours not his. Exceptions can always be made for public health, and he was correct to label your insistence on the word “never” as pedantic.

However if you’re in favor of the principle that all medical decisions should be private affairs, then logically you should be opposed to this bill.

This will be overturned eventually. The conservative obsession with transgender issues is unhealthy.

Well, yes, not until Trump and the MAGA folks are out of power. In the meantime, transgender minors will not be able to receive any of the gender affirming care that they, their parents and their doctors feel they need.

Well.   I won't say excited is the right word.  I 100% agree that kids with gender issues need care.  Mental care.  Anything at all related to physical changes should not be allowed in any case whatsoever.   So I support this concept fully.   But they do need some real counseling as anyone with mental health issues should get

I think that doctors and parents should be making the decisions for their kids…. Not Marjorie Taylor Greene.

See, that goes under the assumption that parents always do the right thing by their kids.  And they don't.   So no.  I am not going to stand by and let parents decide something this important.  As far as doctors,  any doctor that agrees a KID should have his or her gender physically changed should have his or her license revoked.

Parents don't know all.   We have plenty of laws in place to protect kids from their idiot parents.
