2028 Presidential election

Nah. He beat the most reviled woman in politics (at the time) in 2016. There were a helluva lot of Dems in 16 that refused to vote for her because of her history and baggage. She was supposed to be a lock. If those people had known Trump would win, she would've probably beat him electorally, and she still creamed him in the popular vote. In 2024 he beat a doddering old fool and his useless, ornamental sidekick because the old guy fell over himself one too many times and she didn't have enough time to mount a legit campaign after being foisted on us.

You guys waaaaaay overestimate Trump's appeal to average Americans.

100% been my point.  Against any actually decent candidate, Trump loses.   Yet, the dems are so screwed up that is what they have been putting up there.  It's gotta end if the dems ever want to win again

they played it perfectly in 2020 :dunno:...  evoke memories of Almighty Obama, but realize that if your playbook consists of pointing fingers at a "racist old white man",  another racist old white man needs something to appeal to all of their cherished minority voters... so soften him with a youngish, woman of color.

They can't get over Trump long enough to look in the mirror.

Yup. And he absolutely knows it.   So he keeps up with the shell game, keeping the dumbest of the party chasing ghosts while their party is still in shambles.

I don’t buy this at all and put any other Republican in against Kamala and they lose

it's definitely true.  Trump has one strategy and it works but not well enough. If it did, he wouldn't have lost in 2020. Even if you actually believe the election was stolen, it shouldn't have been close enough to steal if he is really a strong candidate.

If the Dems held a primary and got any candidate better than Kamala, and then paired that candidate with a new version of Kamala as VP, they win 2024.   jmho of course but I think we've seen enough in the past 10-12 years to know it.

I agree with this. Trump gets a LOT of people out there that wouldn't vote otherwise. Of course, they sour on him quickly because his anti-government message turns against itself as soon as he's in power.

2028 could be a major disaster for the GOP. I hope the Democrats get their 💩 together and take advantage of it.

Disagree. All the dems need to do at this point is let Trump keep Trumping and he'll blow everything to smithereens on his own. By the time 28 rolls around, assuming of course the admin hasn't figured out a way to keep him in office (best believe they'll try!) he could be running against a sentient pubic hair and probably lose. Don't underestimate the Dems ability to find that pubic hair, either. Gavin Newsome ain't far off from it.

Dude..No.  Totally no.  Dems are fractured.  They are simply incapable of rallying behind one candidate.  And they will continue to be this way.  If they don't get their guy, they don't vote.

We just had an election a year ago that proved you completely wrong.  Twice.

Dems tried two different candidates against Trump, thoroughly convinced a dementia patient and then a DEI candidate would win because Trump is so toxic.

Dementia patient

DEI

Pubic hair.

That's the current state of the Democratic party.  😂

I mostly agree with everything you said except the last sentence. They voted for KAMALA FFS. Nobody wanted her on merit. I've been very vocal about that being the ONLY reason I voted for her, or Biden.

I know you'll never agree or understand this because you're too invested in the "liberal skyscreaming" narrative, but those of us with 'TDS" have been telling you for years that this guy was singularly awful. We were right, unfortunately.

I don't think hes nearly as awful as you think.  But your liberal narrative and TDS diet makes you think so.   So there.  nanny nanny boo boo

Georgia was stolen. That’s been proven. And when you consider that Pennsylvanias actions during that election were found to be unconstitutional, yeah, saying the 2020 election was stolen is on the mark. Not “even if”. 81 million votes. You gotta be a moron to have believed that.

Listen you.   I'm not Trump cheerleader.  But I wanted and got a conservative President.  He's not my favorite guy ever, but there is absolutely no way anyone could ever convince me that Kamala would have been better.

Well there would be no evidence that she would be since she was never given a chance. How about this:

Over the past 10 years I have seen nothing that would convince me I'm wrong about the Don. Now THERE is a solid body of evidence.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you'll disagree.

I'll also say I appreciate that we can have some semi-respectful back and forth while understanding our disagreements are about politics, which ultimately means little. It's the overriding subject here, and folks get riled up. I'm never going to choose my friends based on their politics so it's a shame a bunch of dudes that likely have quite a bit in common, which is far more important than who you're voting for, can't get along because of "sides."

Lots of righties here I like and respect, including you. Cheers and happy holidays, you punk-ass pvssy pony car driver!

No worries, Jerry. It's totally fine to hate other people because in your heart you just KNOW that your god is better than their god and they're going to hell.
