Gather around children and hear the tale of Mephisto. A tale that is as old as the board. Mephisto. Think Tony Soprano in a bad mood. One day there was a thread. "How do you like your steak cooked." I simple question, but back at a time when men took their steak seriously, not like today where young men can't tell the difference between a porterhouse and a McRib. The debate began and soon turned into a war of words. The words ended when Mephisto threatening to kill the other poster. In most cases, you would shrug it off, but with Mephisto, you thought, "Oh that's not good. I wouldn't want to be that guy." 

So Mephisto was banned. The very first person to be banned from with wild west that was the Geek Club at that time. He hid in a Sanctuary, where he lured the best posters and then held them captive, cursing the Geek Board to the state you see today. So be respectful, or he may lure you away.

So, was Mephisto on the rare side of medium rare camp with a slight char to the fat on the edges, because if not he is dead ass wrong and I will meet him in battle if that is what he desires.  I suggest three day old dead carp as the weapons, but I will allow him the choice of weapons.

He also threatened to murder me too at one point.

Yet we later became friends sharing multiple hours on zoom calls playing poker.  I even brought him into my longtime FF league to which he again went full psycho and then we kicked him out.  Haven't talked to him since.

We have an in person draft.  Meph had covid so joined over zoom.  Immediately following the draft there was a trade, Justin Herbert for Tee Higgins.  Mephisto wasn't pleased because he wasn't there to make a better offer.  Chaos ensues.  He ended up grinding all season, makes he super bowl, facing the Tee Higgins owner, and it's the Damar Hamlin game where Tee Higgins kills him, game over, no points from Higgins and like 5 other players his opponent had, so Mephisto wins the SB and then quits the league right before we could kick him out.  You couldn't make it up.

It's been a long time since I checked the Forums but can take 100% credit for adding the gas to the Great Steak Debate with the simple response to how I liked my steak "when it's brown it's cooking and when it's black it's done"!  The rest is history.

Over the years I became friends with Mephisto and met him one day in a park near the Linc for a game.  My wife tried to warn me that meeting a guy I only knew as Mephisto, alone, in a desolate park in Philly was not a great idea.   He is a good guy despite his online shenanigans.
