But I do find it funny that conservatives got all riled up by an intentionally cropped photo of people that were in the movie all along and were never meant to replace the dwarves. And even funnier that some of them, like @EternalShinyAndChrome won’t even admit they got duped.

Covid and the resulting increase in both the demand for SFH’s due to covid restrictions and the ability to work from home which created more demand nationally, as well as the resulting supply chain disruptions, which were really the main reason for the massive increase in home prices in general. The multiple covid giveaways from both Trump and Biden didn’t hurt either. Also, a lot of the illegal labor was already here before Biden. They’re of course not just deporting people that came in during Biden.

I never said that. Just stating facts. Construction companies (which I would bet more often than not are owned by people that lean conservative) often hire illegals to keep costs down. If there are no illegals to hire then costs will likely go up. I will say we’ve come a long way as a society though if you’re okay with calling $15/hour “slave labor.” For one I bet many of the ones working construction actually are making more. Remember when Jesse Watters thought $20/hour was $100k a year though? Talk about out of touch.
