It's still going around, and some places are even still asking to test for it. If I have symptoms that are cold-like, but then there's one weird random one, I might test just for knowledge purposes. But it really doesn't change my behaviors, I don't tend to go out or have people over when I am sick anyways.

They don't? My city in CA is literally meeting next week to talk about their budget shortfalls; first thing they claim to be cutting is fire fighters, EMTs, and Police. Meanwhile, city managers salary has gone up 400% in 15 years to nearly $500k/year. Several fire departments all over the state of CA have closed in recent years due to "cuts" at the expense of safety, mean while they throw billions at the High Speed Train to Nowhere (oh, sorry, Merced to Bakersfield), and the "homeless." Fock off, Tim. You're so ridiculous.

We have all battery powered stuff here too; mower, leaf blower, weed eater/edger. They are great. Haven't had a gas mower in over 15 years I think.

CA doesn't outlaw their use, but gas powered is no longer sold in CA. Most of the people I know just drive to NV to buy one. ETA: They don't really bother me. The yards where I live are relatively small, so if there's any leaf blowing, it's not much. The common areas around the neighborhood have landscapers and gardeners that come and mow, etc. But they aren't close enough to my house for it to cause a big disturbance.

Oh yes, I don't like it when people do that; add their own "stuff" and flair to the song? Or sing it terribly on purpose ike Roseanne Barr, no. It's actually meant to be done as a march, not a big old song.

This happens all the time in CA, especially at our rivers. Nothing new.

So I am officially "no party affiliation" on my registration. Which means, I basically cannot vote in the primaries. Not sure if this applies to me, but I'll answer anyways. When I vote Dem now, it's mostly for social programs that I believe in. I read everything that they send with the voting booklet, pros/cons, who is funding, etc Most of the time if I follow the money, then I vote accordingly if it's something I am okay with. Right now, I am really saddened by the fact that CA voted to let illegals into the Medicare and Medical programs. Those programs are now bankrupt and it's only been a year. They are now talking about passing legislation that to qualify, you have to make less than $2k/monthly. This will remove the majority of those older people out of those programs - leaving them to struggle to find decent affordable healthcare. But hey.....illegals get it for free.

All of this and they are totally against colonialism. The flag doesn't represent freedom, but more oppression of minority groups, slavery, bad cops, capitalism, white men....I mean, the list goes on. But when I hear my Dem friends talk, this is what they usually bring up. Yes, I am proud to be American. I always have been, even as a child. I am one of those that gets weepy when the National Anthem is sung or played, and I stand and put my hand on my heart.
