#6288032 So I landed pick #1 in a PPR...

Posted by Frozenbeernuts on Yesterday, 07:27 AM

The only way one of the top 4 running backs fail is because of injury, or Bell could sit out some time. I wouldn't put it past him with the Steeler's kind of screwing him around with this franchise tag thing. I get it from a business perspective, but man the franchise tag system really screws over positions that don't carry a large salary at the top.

Personally, Fournette and Mcaffery are right there in the top 5. I would bounce Bell because of the uncertainty. Someone out of the top 4 has to end the season as a disappointment. Any reason other than injury, Bell is the only one I can place logic to. I am nervous about Kamara, Cook, and Hunt. I think they all could be in for some regression from an efficiency standpoint, while I think Fournette will improve on his efficiency.

I am more of a David Johnson 1 overall person myself, but the fact remains, his offense is just not near what the Rams offense is. Take Gurley. He is durable. His team is awesome.

Yep.

Any famous people on the waiting list?

#6286286 My Targets - where do I have to draft them?

Posted by Frozenbeernuts on 15 August 2018 - 01:58 PM

If you trust your judgement.....Always get the guys you want, no matter what anyone else says or no matter what it costs you. I have used this strategy for years successfully. In fact, the guys at the draft have quit ribbing me for my "non-conformist" picks, which isn't as satisfying anymore.

My motto on draft night? Reach for the Championship.

I have a weird relationship with my two main non dynasty leagues. Well one I just finally quit last year, but I was in it for 9 years.

In my main big money pure redraft, I made the playoffs twice ever in 12 years. Never made it past the first round. I'm usually at the bottom of the league.

In my 2 man keeper, I won it 4 times. I had mostly the same players in each league, it's just one was slightly different enough to put me in a championship. The other was slightly different enough to put me near last. I always reached for my guys.

I wish I could spare room for one more league for an auction. I am fed up with snake drafts. I can't stand just praying that a player makes it to me. The first year I did an auction I destroyed the league because I had a shot at all my sleepers. People had to pay some money to. Get my sleeper from me.

#6285966 Late round 1 draft strategy? Mock Draft Observations...

Posted by Frozenbeernuts on 15 August 2018 - 07:06 AM

I do like McCaffery this year. I just haven't justified him in my head at 2.01. Do you like him better than Cook? Would you prefer Cook/McCaffery or McCaffery/WR?

Thanks.

McCaffery/WR. I am nervous about a workload split

#6285930 Late round 1 draft strategy? Mock Draft Observations...

Posted by Frozenbeernuts on 15 August 2018 - 06:02 AM

I'm drafting 12 of 12 at the end of the month. My original strategy was to go RB rounds 1-3. In some mock drafts this has worked well, in others not so much. I really want either Fournette/Hunt/Gordon at 12. In half the mocks I've done this has happened. I am just not sold with Dalvin Cook as my #1 RB. His ACL last year and offensive line woes heading into the season worry me. I'd take him if I can pair him with one of the other 3 RB's mentioned above, but going RB/RB and pairing him with Devonta Freeman/Howard/Mixon/McCaffery does not seem strong enough for me to pass on a stud WR at 2.01. Going WR/WR in mocks has been a disaster at the RB position. I originally liked the idea of picking 12th, but if one of my preferred RB's doesn't fall to me I'll be torn on what to do.

In PPR I would trust McCaffery. He is going to touch the ball a lot in the pass game

Goodwin in the 5th? Damn. The value is just about gone

#6278956 Sleeper RB......

That would be confusing if they draft an RB in the first round then just dump him on the bench.

The Seahawks are clueless drafting offense

#6278106 $258,000 a month in child support.

There should be a limit on child support. A hell of a lot lower than 258k

#6277258 Do any honkies really GAF about this shirt?

Posted by Frozenbeernuts on 01 August 2018 - 10:29 AM

I think if we erased all reference to native Americans in our teams, those people would feel like jerk offs for going off the rails about this stuff. Some things are disrespectful like the Indians logo, but a lot of the names and logos are used because AMERICAN INDIANS ARE SEEN AS STRONG. So we named our teams after you because of the strength and endurance your people have, but that's somehow offensive??

I think it could possibly be a glimpse into his mind set. Hopefully not.

Anheuser-Busch InBev NV is struggling to keep Americans drinking its brews.

Sales of the domestic lagers have receded as American consumers turn to craft beers, Mexican imports, wine, and spirits to get their buzz.

On Thursday, the Budweiser and Bud Light manufacturer said U.S. revenues fell 3.1% in its second quarter despite lower volumes. The underperformance resulted in the company missing overall sales growth forecasts, triggering shares to drop more than 5%.

AB InBev hopes to increase brand consumption by offering more expensive beers like Michelob Ultra Pure Gold, made with organic grains, and Bud Light Orange, brewed with real citrus peels. A plan to launch a fancier Budweiser variant aged on bourbon barrel staves is also in the works to hit the shelves next month.

While Chief Financial Officer Felipe Dutra told the Wall Street Journal there is no silver bullet, no short term answer to some of the problems we face, he added that the companys efforts to innovate and go upmarket looked promising.

Innovation and growth continue to be a priority to AB InBev as the company announced its plans to combine ZX Venturesa unit founded in 2015 to develop new products for developing consumer needswith its marketing department.

AB InBev also created a new position in the companya head of nonalcoholic beverages. Younger generations are drinking far less than their predecessors, urging booze manufacturers to launch more low-alcohol and nonalcoholic products.

After a helping hand from beer drinkers around the world during the World Cup, AB InBev reported a jump in net profit to $1.94 billion for the three months to June 30, up from $1.5 billion a year earlier. However, at 4.7% growth, sales fell short of the 5.4% growth estimate.

Dutra said the company is preparing to be hit hard as costs are only expected to rise due to tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.

It's about fvcking time. That nasty shlt isn't worth drinking for free. America is now home to the best beer in the world thanks to craft brewing. Remember when the US used to get made fun of for how bad our beer sucked?

People are selfish dlck holes wirh this stuff. I cant stand it. When a parent dies there often is one low life sibling who is so greedy that they want to 100% screw over the other siblings so that they get more. Fvck scum bags like that
