Patriots are a 7 point favorite against Detroit

Recommended Posts

Opened at 3.5, is now at 7.

Rumor has it 85% of the money has been bet on NE.

Vegas never loses. Take the Lions

I don't pay attention to that stuff but thinking that type of info can come in handy for fantasy purposes

It's gonna be interesting to see how New England attacks them. Detroit has one of the best secondaries in the league but at the same time I don't see Jonas doing the same thing that happened last week either.

Interesting. With the standard 3 pt home advantage, Vegas was basically saying the game is a push on a neutral field. I think most people would pick NE in that scenario, so yeah, it would seem they were leading the betting public to bet on NE.

Detroit wins str8 up! Under 44 combined points will be scored.

I'll take the over on combined points not betting straight up at this time though

I like Detroit to win.

IF they can get a solid consistent pass rush they will hold the PAts under 20.

The question is, can they score 21 points?

Detroit's d-line can easily win this game. They're impossible to run against, and on the other hand they can get lots of pressure with just a four man rush. That's what the Pats have always struggled at dealing with (see: both Giants Super Bowl losses  ).

My guess is that's Vegas' line of thinking

They don't lose because they take the losers money and a piece of the winners. The only reason the line is moving is because it is in Vegas' best interest to keep the bets equal on both sides of any game - to get a good return and half the people happy with winning. The line is moving because most people don't trust DET at anything less than 7 point spread. So, they are betting on NE. Vegas is just trying to balance out the bets. Vegas uses it line predictions for the initial lines. After the bets start coming in, it is much more formulaic.

Turnovers in first half decide this one. I will take the homer play of the Pats and have them win by 10+.

However, if Brady has another crappy first half with turnovers, the Lions will make him pay.

I think this game plays to the under. I see something like 20-16, and I think NE wins. Ugly game with a lot of D/ST and turnover screwups.

It comes down to the Lions Dline. If they can get pressure on Brady with just the front 4...they keep it close and can win. (well, assuming Stafford doesn't fock it all up).

Pats are similar to GB in this...teams that can bring heat with just the front 4 give them fits.

rookie mistake that u don't

It's only the greatest gauge on what will happen in the game

No homerism or so called analysis talking heads

Just what the big money is saying what will happen

Respect Vegas

"That line is telling u something"

This is a misnomer...Vegas got CRUSHED two weeks ago, made up for it last week. If Vegas never lost, no one would be betting.
