Bradford to the Browns?

Recommended Posts

Trade rumors swirling. If I were STL and Bradford has indeed refused a pay cut after soaking up about 30 million on IR I would totally trade his ass to dysfunctional CLE where he can rot.

Sounds like something the Browns would do and a head scratcher

Am I seriously the only one who knows that Sam Bradford sucks and has never been good? His one debateably not completely awful season was the one where he checked down to Amendola 80 times right? They didnt even win games that year either. Dude is terrible and will fit in perfectly with the awful Browns. im sorry but theres no excuse anymore after Luck showed us that the worst team in the league is only ever a QB away from being able to compete. As a qb, after a couple years if you cant come in and assert yourself and lift your teammates up to new heights and make the team better by yourself...your not a franchise QB.

No I always found Bradford to be a sucky Qb. Only thing going for them was when Steven Jackson played

I disagree. The last two injuries followed a strong start to his season. I think saying he flat out sucks means you didnt watch him play. He played well with a bunch of ok receivers. Im not saying he would have been great, but without injuries derailing his career, i believe he could have been a solid qb. His injury history is too extensive though, and i would not trust him to be my qb. I would be very interested having him as a backup, of course at a much lower salary.

I too wouldnt take a pay cut if i were him. He knows the likelyhood of staying healthy through a full season is very small. He also knows his next contract is probably going to be a backup type deal, which means a lot less money. Yes he was soaking up that money without playing, but i also look at what he has had to go through the past few seasons. He suffered a bad injury and had to work his ass off to come back from it, while probably going through the same thing this time around, maybe even worse. He sacrificed his body for the game, he is being paid for it.

After he gets cut? Why would anyone take on that contract?

Exactly... Bradford is scheduled to count $16.5m against the cap in 2015 - and then he's a FA. People just throw out "trade" like it's swapping marbles with no worries... No way Cleveland takes on that contract, for a half-ass qb, who's not even guaranteed to resign with them in the offseason - and give up trade picks to boot? Makes no sense.

He's "OKAY". Not a guy worth trading for.

I would take Hoyer over Bradford any day.

The Browns had Bridgewater, Carr and Garrapolo staring at them with the 22nd pick and what do they do? They draft Manziel.

I expect the 'worst decision' every time with these Buffoons.

Funny factoid: The Browns have held the 22nd pick 3 times in the past 8 years. Those picks?

Johnny Manziel

Brandon Wheedon

Brady Quinn

Yikes.
