Penn to ban trans women from women's sports, because of Tranny, Lia Thomas 🌈
Voltaire replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
Well, this is finally getting sanely resolved. Apparently, it's still happening in women's cycling though. -
Glad Sh*tbag finally shut up and let everyone move on with their lives.

Trump is dumping illegals in the OCEAN!!
Voltaire replied to RaiderHaters Revenge's topic in The Geek Club
Even our board lefties found this too ridiculous to post. -
I wouldn't worry too much about the labels political opponents come up with for politicians they don't like. We get labeled as Nazis, fascists, racists, homophobes, sexists, threat to democracy, yada yada yada by leftoid freaks all the time. It's just noise. Mamdani is what he is. He advocates for a slew of polices that have failed time and again whenever tried. New York is going to suffer for voting for him, but they get what they elect. This generation has to see Socialism fail for themselves. I say let Mamdani, Karen Bass, Lori Lightfoot, Brandon Johnson, Ted Wheeler, London Breed, Jenny Dirtcan, Murial Bowser and the rest teach them. I don't live there, I don't care.

I use to at least understand the "I feel bad for poor people, let's give them free stuff" mentality, same with the environmental stuff, but look at what they've devolved into in 2025. It's hot toxic garbage.

I like free stuff that other people pay for. I like being assured that it's perfectly normal behavior to stick explosive material up my ass. I appreciate the security of know that if this my career ambitions ever falls apart, I can always go play basketball in the WNBA.

United Healthcare CEO shot, killed in midtown NYC
Voltaire replied to IGotWorms's topic in The Geek Club
Article doesn't say but you have to think it's because the surgery and rehab is going to be extraordinarily expensive. Insurance companies lose money whenever they have to pay out. In cases like this, they're combing through the fine print for the clauses they purposely installed and buried deep in the long boring legal forms you didn't read but that they made you sign when you joined. The reason they're not paying? It's right here in this paragraph on page 47... -
The Bib Beautiful Bill is going to be a lot less beautiful to everyone after all the sausage making needed to produce it. Thus are the wages of a small majority. Hopefully enough Republicans can get 70-80% of what they want, then take President Regan's advice. ----- Die-hard conservatives thought that if I couldn't get everything I asked for, I should jump off the cliff with the flag flying-go down in flames. No, if I can get 70 or 80 percent of what it is I'm trying to get ... I'll take that and then continue to try to get the rest in the future. Ronald Reagan

Tim's entire post is sensible, after the first sentence, which had little-to-nothing to do with the broader point he was making and I gave him a 'like' for it. But yeah, the first sentence can be read as an endorsement of Mamdani's communism and is not the reason for the 'like'. And WTF is this driving force behind the bizarre intersectional Islamic/Marxist/Alphabet politicians like Mamdani, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, those British mayors, and the white liberals who love them?

Athol/Coeur D'Alene Idaho firefighters shooting. Suspect identified.
Voltaire replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
Every time a mass shooting happens, some of the people around here feel a compulsion to stick the shooter on the other political team before any evidence comes in. With that in mind, since this part of Idaho has the right, the further right, and almost no liberals, I think fringe right wing lunatic is where this one will fall. Hopefully I'm wrong and its one of the two Biden voters in that county.
