20 years later: the invasion of Iraq
Voltaire replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Andrew Jackson paid the bills and balanced the National Debt. Richard Nixon was a generally effective administrator who wound the Vietnam war down and dealt with the hippies. The Bushtard started a pointless war and blew up the debt. Meanwhile, Biden has presided over the destruction of the social fabric of the nation and ended energy independence, while also blowing up the debt. -
Mine'll never look like this. When this happens, I get five new letters and that yellow gets tossed in backseat to pull out later.

I'd have stormed the beaches of Normandy for the country I grew up in but I don't feel the same about Biden's Amerika. The corruption has hijacked the institutions. We don't have the moral authority and it's more of a bullsh*t job. Biden can storm the beaches with flag kneelers, CRT indoctrinated antifa rioters, and trannies. -

I had fell out of this thread after Coal Miner's Daughter but got caught up yesterday. My favorite three picks for each person in the last 10 rounds. The order is just backwards from 6.1 and means nothing. I don't intend to tip my hat on who I like best mid-draft. BHB: Chattahoochee, Okie from Muskogee, Here's a Quarter Fireballer: The Dance, Rhinestone Cowboy, Coal Miner's Daughter 90sbaby: Should've Been a Cowboy, Drive, High Cotton - 90sbaby wins the Daily Double. I love Should've Been a Cowboy. It was a song I had been looking out for from the start, curious to see how long it would last. Rusty : God Bless the USA, El Paso, Ode to Billie Joe - I don't like many of these 50s song to be honest, but that doesn't apply to the awesome El Paso, which -thus far- stands out as the Travis Kelce selection of this draft. Also, regarding Billie Joe, Rusty had me conducting internet searches to see fan speculation over what got thrown off the damn bridge. spoiler ---> (unsatisfactory answers, nobody knows) )<--- bostonlager: Queen of my Double Wide Trailer, Hello Darlin', You Look so Good in Love Mrs. Rusty: Islands in the Stream, Harper Valley PTA, Always on my Mind 5 Points: Poncho and Lefty, Country State of Mind, I Sang Dixie -

I opposed the war from the start. The people that actually hit us on 9/11 were in Afghanistan and a war in Iraq would be a distraction from that war, the real war. I knew from my own time in service during the Gulf War how unprepared we were for urban warfare. I knew that if we toppled the regime, we'd have to govern/police the sh*thole and we weren't ready to be a police force either. It was obvious that Iraq didn't have WMD because they'd not used them against us in 1991 nor Iran earlier. It was all clearly bullsh*t. Also, since every single member of the Bushtard regime that wanted the war, was themselves a bed-wetting draft dodger when it was their turn to serve in war, I had zero confidence in them from the start. The country was led by morons and the army was tasked with doing the impossible. One of the major reasons I left to teach overseas was worry that they'd draft not just 18 y/os but also prior service whose IRR time had expired (to their credit, they did neither). Those cowardly pieces of sh*t George W. Bush, D*ck Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and the rest, who were about to blow up my friends and former colleagues for no good reason could all fock right off. I wasn't joining their stupid-ass pointless war; I'd have been willing to go Afghanistan. I'm grateful to have fought in a war I believed in, rather than this stupid one. "Finish the job." Fock off. We'd finished the job in 1991. Retard Bush proved Daddy Bush and Colin Powell were right all along. -
