Culpooper 3 Posted October 22, 2014 I am terrified to start this guy. He clearly is the best RB NE has right now but Belicock loves to F*CK with fantasy guys. Can I trust Vareen will continue to be the guy there and get the lion share of carries? Maybe start Oliver over Vareen this week and not deal with the headache? BTL99 34 Posted October 22, 2014 Yeah, it sucks. Beliscum loves to sometimes not give his best players the ball. He is a POS. Vereen is a beast, but who knows if he will get the touches.
SuperSteelers 1 Posted October 22, 2014 I'm starting him mostly because I have no other options. Once Jennings comes back, Vereen will be relegated to Flex or bench depending on match ups.
Bishop82 61 Posted October 22, 2014 Play all the Pats you can against the Bears.
NEWPOSTERGUY! 266 Posted October 22, 2014 low end ppr rb1 for the duration. that team is woefully bereft of explosiveness, and looks like mr.Bundchen and Hoodie are gonna let rip with the pass heavy shtick going forward ... Vereen is a legit explosive playmaker. hth.
Philo312 41 Posted October 22, 2014 Yup, just as NEWGUY wrote, he's a legit ppr must start going forward. In standard, he's a fantastic flex or rb2. Brady will slinging the ball, and Vereen is their playmaker. I'm sure NoName Gray will snark some carries, but Shane's number will be called to carry & catch the rock. parrot 789 Posted October 22, 2014 Belichick has never given fantasy owners a second thought, or probably a first thought for that matter, in his life.
Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted October 22, 2014 Vs Bears def . He is a must start EXACTLY That's why the OP and every sane person that's been burned by Belichick has doubts about Vereen in what should be a great matchup.
J-Money 4 Posted October 23, 2014 I'm working on trying to trade him while his value is still hi after last weeks game... I don't want to deal with NE rb the rest of the season

bfros 53 Posted October 23, 2014 just traded Brady/Vereen for Brees/McKinnon. Couldn't be happier. Did the trade to essentially get Brees. I think Brees will outplay Brady going forward, esp late season when weather turns bad and Graham returns....and while Vereen is a significant bump over McKinnon **right now** (cause of one week's performance last Thurs), I don't trust NE RBs and don't trust consistent use of Vereen near the GL. Don't love Mckinnon either, but like his upside.
Flgatorguy87 160 Posted October 23, 2014 I like that trade for you. Sure a 20 point game is great but if you get a 5 point game the next week is not as much fun. I'd say Mack gives you a more predictable lineup although not necessarily always a higher scoring lineup. Not a bad trade off for an upgrade at QB.
