That 3I/Atlas is what they are calling a planet seed. A star catches one into orbit and gas giants form from them. Hmmm. My question (not related to the theory) is that comets come from the oort cloud which is like a bubble surrounding the sun and it's planets. So how can they tell if an object is interstellar and not from the oort cloud? It can't be because of it's directory because the oort cloud surrounds us. I'm sure someone here knows the answer.

Mostly I just know what I've been told.
