Did you bang your head against the wall a few times to make that seem funny to you?

Actually, so was Monday and tuesday. And I managed to work 20+ something hours and 3 shifts anyway. Got out of the s*** show yesterday, today, at a little after 1:00 a.m. Our dishwasher, ( think Michael oher from the blind side.) Was fubar drunk. So he had to go. Place was a disaster. So somehow again, I managed to close two restaurants in one night. On my day off. I think it works out to something like 12 shifts in 7 days and 22 of the last 24 days. But today? Drinking a beer. Sitting on the patio. Staring at Pikes Peak and its badass little brother, Cheyenne mountain. (AKA NORAD.) God damn. Even if NORAD wasn't there, Cheyenne mountain is just one intimidating mofo. And by the way, you hear all the stories about area 51 and the security there? Since I've lived here, I have talked to more than my share of guys who have run afoul I'm some very cranky people with very large guns by wandering too close to certain areas on that rock. Trying to decide between a killer omelette with all the fixings. Or a bad ass double cheeseburger. Anyhoodles. I have hard coded this as a day off. I'm sure tomorrow is going to be extra dramatic. In fact, yesterday May be exactly what I needed to get the hell out of this situation. But f*** it. Today it's just beer and sunshine. Hell, I might even give the wife a little rogering if she behaves. And by wife, I mean my hand. She's like that hooker from the unforgiven; She's got a lot of scars and whatnot. But still bangable. Like every other day, I'll know it's a good day if I get to meet a dog. That's honest to God my harbinger of a great day. Have a great day guys. You guys are the longest relationship I've had in my entire life.

Nothing like a little energy crisis to make people actually recognize science vs. climate religion. Also, this guy <------- has been saying for years that I won't take climate religion seriously until they support both of these solutions. So we'll see how it plays out.

He threw a party at the Prime Minister office during a Covid lockdown, which seemed petty. But apparently he wasn't liked among most Brits anyway. His destruction of the Brexit deal had something to do with that.

Good grief, this wound up and touchy sensative, even at this hour....wow. The left isn't crying right now, the right is. If/when Joe gets crushed and a Repub wins the Oval Office, the same will be true then - when the left starts crying.

Sometimes the world is a circle of random unrelated events colliding. Remember how Jerry Lewis use to raise money on Labor Day with his telethons for Muscular Dystrophy? The kids he'd help were "Jerry's kids." So, when I was in 3rd grade the cool things someone on the playground came up with was sing the jingle from this commercial except substitute in "We're Jerry's Kids. Ten Million strong and growing." This singing "we're Jerry's kids" became the height of humor when I was nine years old. Then twenty years later, I meet a guy online named jerry who has young kids and goes by the username "jerryskids." Obviously a play on words from the muscular dystrophy telethon but for me of course, has another special meaning. So today, twenty years later, comes along and a viral video appears online of some kid from Michigan getting chased out of the city for going online to make light of their lack of grocery stores. I get to thinking of Jerry's now grown up kids who are residing in this violent city devoid of eggs and bread. Then suddenly out of the blue, for no apparent reason, the same Flintstone kids vitamin commercial from back in the day that got edited to make my nine year old self laugh re-appeared. I dunno. Maybe you just had to be there to witness dufuss third grades singing "Jerry's Kids" to fully appreciate it all.

After marinating on this trade I love it. At worst, The Panthers are talked about, there is drama and noise, hell I'm posting about my team on the Geek Club. At BEST, Baker gets healthy and we WIN, the meat of the team isn't all that bad. All for a 4th or 5th round pick. I'm All In.

Indeed. I forgot all about those commercials. I won't hijack this thread, but we need to start a thread of kickasss 80s commercials.

Both me and my wife got the Pfizer Vaccine May of 2020. I genuinely thought it was a decent vaccination that provided long term protection. Later that fall and winter, I learned differently, all the data came out that the efficacy was overblown. I actually felt lied too. Then my whole family caught the Omicron variant in January 2021. My kids were sick for like a day, me maybe two and my wife actually had it the worse and was down for maybe three days. I had the Flu a couple years ago and that was twice as bad (for me). I'm done with all things Covid. I've had the first vaccine and my family has had the virus once. No more shots, boosters, masks, nothing. It's been that way for a while......we are living our lives like it doesn't exist and if we get sick then we will stay at home like we do the Flu or the Stomach bug, you know, normal sick ediquette. Other than that, Covid is over as far as I'm concerned......it's just one more Flu virus.

In real life i consider myself a Conservative. At the Geek Club though I find myself more middle of the road, center right. With that said, I have never seen NewsMax, don't even know how to watch it.....I guess if I sought it out and paid for a service?

Never forget it was the teachers union that kept schools closed, made kid sweat masks and push this vaccine on kids.
