The Left gave up long ago trying to defend their policies on their merits. The only tool in their tool box is "Trump and his followers are [insert dehumanization]!" Trump: We are going to deport illegal immigrants with criminal records. Left: That's... that's fascist! Trump: We're going to support Israel's right to defend itself. Left: You're Islamaphobes! Trump: We're going to drill and build refineries to increase our energy independence. Left: Imperialists! Actually, the simple concept is that if you allow this man to compete with women, you've set precedent for future (more capable) men to do the same. You've also introduced a process where somebody has to make some decision of whether or not every trans man "sucks" enough to compete with women. That's both unmanageable, and not exactly making the trans person feel good about themselves, which is the argument by the Left of why they should be allowed to compete with women. I honestly don't know why you bump these yip yip topics of yours.

No it doesn’t. They are reversing the correlation. It is the gay and trans that creates the abuse. The abuse comes less from inside factors such as the specific personality of the parents, and much more from outside factors like the conservative antagonism towards gay and trans, the belief in the face of all evidence that trans is a mental disorder, etc. -

This isn't about me or my politics. It's about a baby that disagreed with a new law, and decided to move 2 companies and all of his employees 1600 miles across the country because of it. That is childish and dumb, and yes he's a baby. With complete disregard to all of his employees, he doesn't like the law, so they all have to suffer. They have to move to a state where abortion is illegal because he doesn't like a law that protects trans kids. How petty can you get? And it's personal for him. He doesn't like trans people. He disowned his own daughter for being trans. That's being a baby. My outlook on things is that people shouldn't let their hurt feelings or hatred of others get in the way of doing what's right. You think that's wrong with America? You're clueless. A real leader, a father, does what's right for the good of others. They don't change the course of thousands of lives for the worse over petty disagreements and personal hurt feelings. -
I’d like to find a democrat that says trans women aren’t women. All of them appear to be in lock step that trans women are women. Full stop. Perhaps Mooney knows of some that don’t?

Yes. Because unfortunately we still live in a society where young people who discover they are gay or trans can be shunned by peers, family, friends, told they are sick and abnormal. We still live in a society where young people who discover they are gay or trans commit suicide at high levels, because they cannot live with themselves. Drag queens are the most flamboyant homosexuals there are, the ones who are the most “out”. They are reading to children to send a message: “we are good people, we are normal people, just like everyone else, even though we dress differently and choose to be this way. We want you as children to grow up thinking- it’s OK for some people to be gay or trans. It’s OK for YOU to be gay or trans if that’s who you are.” That’s an important message for the children of our society. It’s a good thing. No grooming involved. -

I never said "forced." I said influenced. The huge surge in girls identifying as trans is indisputed; what IS in dispute is the cause. Trans activists like @The Real timschochet will tell you they are all real, they just feel comfortable coming out not. I am on the side that this is disconnected from reality. Have you ever known an actual trans person? I was friends with a couple girls growing up, they were basically guys and it surprised absolutely no one when they both ended up being lesbians (not together) and then one of them became a dude. You could tell when we were ten years old for Christ’s sake, that’s just the way they were. And I’m not talking tomboys, this was different, they essentially were guys trapped in girls’ bodies. Now this crap where it’s being suggested to every kid that hey maybe you’re not a boy, or maybe you’re asexual or pansexual or sapiosexual or whatever all this crap is now, that isn’t helpful. But yes there are some actual trans people out there and that’s just the way they were made -

I have no issue with actual trans people but this stuff where somebody decides they’re a woman one day then a man the next then neither on the third day, and wants you to go with their changing names and pronouns for each day and all that junk, is just ridiculous. And I do think it harms teenagers as now they all want to try it out and they think it makes them interesting or whatever, and they’re even more confused than teenagers already are because they can’t even start from a simple base point of what their focking gender is. So, yeah, this is an issue where I get what the right is saying, and I wish the left would act like normal people on this. If you’re an actual trans person then you shouldn’t be shamed or discriminated against but GTFO with all this other bs -

A few things. Speaking of preheld convictions: what do you think are the preheld convictions of doctors who get into the gender care business? I thought so. Those are the ones supporting surgical and hormonal mutilation of children. The vast majority of doctors just defer to them, because that's what doctors do. Two, it's difficult to prove the lack of existence of something. To my knowledge, most trans child "care" is based on a Scandinavian study (never since replicated) which showed improvement for trans kids after surgery. Problem was, that was a very carefully culled cohort. But based on it, European countries decided that medical intervention was the call for a lot more folks. US followed suit. The European countries have since realized that this was a grievous error, and to a one have backed off on such policies. The US has not reached this obvious conclusion yet, hence why we are having this seemingly idiotic conversation. Three, it is possible to hold multiple views which are not contradictory, all of which I've stated before: 1. There are true trans people, and people with gender dysphoria. We should help those people to the best of our abilities. 2. Such help should not default to medical intervention. That should only be a last resort and after years of counseling/therapy. 3. There is a social contagion going on with young people in our society, particularly with confused girls going through puberty, who take testosterone and, shockingly, feel more assertive and confident. 4. Until we get #3 under control, we should full stop end medical interventions for children. Europe has figured this out, we haven't, and you will find yourself on the wrong side of history. -
