Judge's ruling to allow SJSU trans women's volleyball player to compete in tournament receives backlash

The bolded is faulty logic, particularly in a team sport. Heck, Aaron Judge could play on a bad HS baseball team and they would still lose most of the time (in this case, they would intentionally walk him). More bad logic. This is like saying if an NFL safety launches his helmet into a defenseless receiver's head, but the receiver stays in the game, he shouldn't be penalized. "No harm, no foul" is a bad way to judge, which is why it isn't done. There is also a slippery slope here. If it's OK for this guy to play, when Karch Kiraly Jr. comes along, identifies as a girl, and starts caving in opponents' faces, the trans sports supporters will argue it's no different, she's just a little better is all. This leaves us to legislate on a case by case basis based on some subjective, undefinable definition of when it becomes dangerous or non-competitive, which is unmanageable. And, if somehow we were to try that, we would be saying to the male athlete that they suck so bad that they can play. Not exactly a confidence builder, as I hear is a reason to let trans women compete. -
Judge's ruling to allow SJSU trans women's volleyball player to compete in tournament receives backlash

@Strike, stupid comments like this are why I push back on certain aspects of these discussions while agreeing with the overall point that trans women shouldn’t play women’s sports. A few trannies don’t mean the end of women’s sports. The fact that the athlete in this story couldn’t even qualify her team for the NCAA tournament shows that’s not going to happen. Lia Thomas is pretty much the only significantly accomplished trans woman in the history of NCAA D1, that was two years ago and pretty sure she wouldn’t be eligible under the current rules. -

First, your premise is a red herring, as I said nothing about medical interventions. That being said, your post is odd, because after your opening statement, you spend the rest of it defending exactly what you disavow. But getting to your red herring: I actually philosophically agree with you... if we didn't have the problem I mentioned -- a society which encourages vs. merely accepts trans. If we had had this discussion 15 years ago, I'd agree with you. But in that time, we've built more than 100 for-profit gender clinics. Do you think such a clinic is in the business of telling a confused child that they aren't trans? We have political lobbying groups pretending to be medical groups (AMA, APA) which say medical interventions for kids are just fine. We eagerly give a shy, confused teenage girl testosterone and, shockingly, she feels more confident. Leftist parents who feel they are winning some sort of virtue signaling olympics by interpreting any sign that's not 100% traditional boy/girl that their kid is trans? I could go on, but hopefully my position is clear. -

Not sure why you would choose to bring me up regarding this topic. I’ve been very clear: transgender women should not be allowed to compete in girls sports. Period. On other issues regarding trans I tend to be woke and accepting- I don’t think it’s a mental disease, I’m for allowing them to use the bathrooms of their choice, I don’t think the state should be involved in gender affirming treatment etc. etc. and I reject totally the conservative anti-trans hysteria. But on this one issue I find myself on the conservative side. -
What I’m saying is that it’s going to take a very long time for it to go back up to the level it was before last Wednesday. And maybe it won’t for the forseeable future. If anything it’s likely to go down more. I certainly hope these “deals” come to fruition. But keep in mind even if they do they’re simply a face saving mechanism which would allow Trump to reverse himself. Most of these nations aren’t offering anything that they didn’t already give us. For example Israel had no tariffs on us, and Vietnam offered to remove all tariffs long before last week (see the Trans Pacific Partnership- we could have had a tariff free zone in the Pacific Rim that would have threatened China- Trump killed it during his first term- called it the worst deal ever. Nothing he negotiated now with Vietnam, Japan or South Korea will be as good as that deal would have been.)

🌈 Tranny track athlete wins varsity girls competition after previously placing last against JV boys 🌈
Maximum Overkill posted a topic in The Geek Club
A transgender athlete took home first place in a varsity high jump competition at an Oregon high school meet Wednesday, roughly two years after finishing last while competing against junior varsity boys, according to a report. Lia Rose, who reportedly used to compete as Zachary, won the high jump at the Portland Interscholastic League Varsity Relays with a height of 4 feet, 8 inches, beating the second-place finisher by two inches. According to athletic.net, while competing against JV boys May 3, 2023, Zachary Rose finished 11th out of 11 competitors with a jump of 4 feet, 6 inches. The winning height in that meet was another foot higher. According to online records, Zachary Rose competed in the boys’ category in 2023. The following year, Lia Rose also competed in the same category. But this year, Lia Rose was listed as competing in the girls category IT'S A MAN, BABY!!!! https://nypost.com/2025/04/05/us-news/trans-track-athlete-wins-varsity-girls-competition-after-previously-placing-last-against-jv-boys-report/ -

I don't think it's that hard, or needs a separate locker room facility. I've said here many times: my youngest daughter has Type 1 diabetes. She is free to pursue happiness... except where she isn't, in the interest of societal good. She can't join the military for instance. Trans adults should be free to lead their lives as trans, but not to enter women's safe spaces. I'll again exclude bathrooms, because I do agree that that is a complex issue. Agreed?

This is how we know you are absolutely full of sh1t. I know plenty of trans women. And none of them use Grindr. They don’t see themselves as phags. They also don’t think they should be playing in girls sports. Everyone one of them.

I don't hate all trans people. Your turn. Why so you say you oppose men in women's sports, then provide a link which supports men in women's sports?
-
More deflection. Can you not hate 99 percent of trans people for the actions and behaviors of the other 1 percent? Yes or focking no?
-
I've already said I don't think biological men belong in women's sports. These people respresent fewer than 1 percent of trans people. Are you capable of not demonizing the other 99 percent? I've repeated this multiple times, and the pivot goes right back to biological men in women's sports, which I said multiple times that I oppose. Let's focus on the 99 percent who don't. You still hate them?
-
Men in women’s sports is a gateway drug to full trans ideology. If you don’t know that, you’re a bigger idiot than everyone here thinks you are.
-
Rusty is a simple-minded Leftie, getting his info from Tumblr, who thinks that if you oppose men in women's sports, or oppose medically transing children, that you hate all trans people. It's a common trait of the Left.
-
What in my history of posting makes you think that I hate all trans people?
-
Are you capable of not hating trans people who have no desire to compete as the opposite gender? I'm fine with keeping biological men out of women's sports.
-
I wouldn't say it if it weren't true. You know any trans people?

Bill Maher on Hollywood pedos and Drag Queen story hour
The Real timschochet replied to Fireballer's topic in The Geek Club
Yes. Because unfortunately we still live in a society where young people who discover they are gay or trans can be shunned by peers, family, friends, told they are sick and abnormal. We still live in a society where young people who discover they are gay or trans commit suicide at high levels, because they cannot live with themselves. Drag queens are the most flamboyant homosexuals there are, the ones who are the most “out”. They are reading to children to send a message: “we are good people, we are normal people, just like everyone else, even though we dress differently and choose to be this way. We want you as children to grow up thinking- it’s OK for some people to be gay or trans. It’s OK for YOU to be gay or trans if that’s who you are.” That’s an important message for the children of our society. It’s a good thing. No grooming involved. -
