  1. No worries, this is a chat board, your contribution to chatting is welcome. However, I didn't say the court ruled Trans isn't a suspect class. I pointed to concurring opinions that indicated three of the justices feel that way. Which makes me think that Roberts joined the majority so that he could write a more restricted opinion. Had he not, a majority of the majority likely would have written a much more sweeping majority decision.
  2. Long ago, on a discussion of abortion, I introduced the concepts of "infinity-minus" and "zero-plus," which actually came from my engineering world. Abortion advocates are infinity-minus -- their default is that abortion is legal, but we can carve out situations where it is illegal. I fall into the zero-plus camp, which is the opposite, because I oppose abortion for convenience. Theoretically you could arrive at the same point with each approach, but it is unlikely, and each is a different mindset. The point being that while I oppose abortion, I recognize that there are cases worth discussing its legality. This approach shows empathy and a willingness to negotiate solutions in good faith. I've had a lot of successful business negotiations with this approach. Back to trans, I tend to fall into the zero-plus camp as well regarding the privileges of their chosen gender, to use your phrase (which I like). Obviously, trans advocates like Squissy here are infinity-minus. But I do it from a backdrop of recognizing the reality that some small number of people truly have gender dysphoria. From this backdrop, we can have productive discussions with the infinity-minus folks regarding questions like: what do we do with such people? What is truly in their best interest? How do we merge that into a functioning and safe society? What about children? I find this approach much more productive and easier to defend than a staunch "zero" stance.
  3. You said trans issues affect “every” women and it’s a bigger issue than abortion. It only affects women who live in a state that allows trans in women’s sports and play the same sports as a tranny. And it only impacts all of them to the degree that they’re all one rank lower. How is that a bigger issue than abortion, something that potentially affects any sexually active woman and has a much greater consequence?
  4. Unless a woman athlete is on the same team as a tranny or competes against one, how are they affected by a trans athlete? Seems like you assume every female in the state is affected by trans athletes but dismiss projections based on actual abortion data. Isn’t every sexually active woman potentially impacted by abortion law?
  5. Hardcore troubadour

Two Dem lawmakers shot, one dead in MN

Yup. You can be the smartest person around but if you tell me the earth is flat you are dismissed. Squishy would never tell a trans a man can’t get pregnant to their face.
  6. I just find this topic entertaining. Instead of Democrats saying they were wrong on this topic (which would be a net win for them), they keep minimizing it and laughing when it's brought up. The fact is, this is a bigger women's rights issue than abortion is. This affects EVERY woman, everywhere. Its not only about athletes, but in everyday life. Abortion only affects a very small portion of women. If they abandon the trans movement, they lose no one. There's no one on the right who's picking up that banner, so the trans community's only recourse is to stay in the LGBT conglomerate and pretend to be marginalized just like the L's, G's, and B's. The Democrats win because they can still pretend to care about all women's rights.
  7. I doubt it. She’s not trans!
  8. What a shocker The father of a trans athlete, recently convicted on a child sexual abuse material distribution charge, has been arrested by the federal government after parents of children participating and attending Kearsarge Regional High School soccer games raised concerns about his presence. https://patch.com/new-hampshire/concord-nh/feds-arrest-child-abuse-distributor-convict-father-trans-athlete
  9. I'm amazed at how you Lefties are unable to differentiate between insults and dehumanizing labels. Calling someone a tard or an idiot is an insult, generally (as in this case) based on a specific action and situation. Labeling Trump Clownzo or now Taco, or labeling all Trump supporters MAGAtards, is an attempt to dehumanize. It's a subtle difference in language which I wouldn't expect you to understand. HTH. Also as I look, there is one other "trans" thread on the first page, and that is talking about Pride Month. That's a little different topic than this one, and hardly an example of "trans threads daily."
  10. Who cares if she did say that? Trans people are crazy and it is time we stop pretending they arent.
  11. Would she be a “transphobe” if trans didnt invade women’s spaces?
  12. She said trans is a “gimmick,” and literally yesterday in response to this ruling said “gender ideology is a house of cards that is bound to crumble quickly.” Both comments having nothing to do with sports. She is a transphobe, but you are welcome to continue being oblivious to that fact.
  13. Hey @EternalShinyAndChrome, Are you schizophrenic or something? The first two quotes are from earlier in this thread. When I suggested calling a trans person by their name, you told me to GTFO. But then in the SCOTUS thread, you said you would call them by their name even if they changed it?
  14. 5-Points

    Car Draft Poll

I just needed to change some years on my picks. You had me down for an 84 Trans Am.
  15. “Gaines only said that trans don’t belong in women’s sports.” Your words
  16. @TBayXXXVII thinks Gaines only said trans don’t belong in women’s sports. Lol
  17. And? Being trans or antifa implies violence. These are mentally ill people. They're also all liberals. Violence is a FEATURE of the left, not an exception. Though, they will gaslight you and say that America has a "far-right" problem, but everyone knows that it's bunk. We have a far-left problem. 100% and irrefutable. And for those of you who are going to jump in here and use the SPLC as "evidence" to try and disprove that - you've already lost the debate.
  18. I can see a distinction between the two situations and why in a group that includes a trans, it might not sit well with everyone. And I am not confortable saying "hi guys!" to a group of women even though many consider it a "gender neutral" term.
  19. This is the best way to go about it, in my experience. I've been given dirty looks for saying things like "hey guys!" to a group of people that includes someone trans; that I don't understand. I don't get dirty looks when I say "hi guys!" to a group of women...
  20. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/18/opinion/supreme-court-trans-care.html?unlocked_article_code=1.P08.eIpO.tCDn4Remjkjb&smid=re-nytopinion Essay written by the mother of the kid if you're interested in learning the other side and testing your empathy.
  21. I also have a friend that's transmale. New pronouns and a new name. It was difficult at first to use their new name and pronouns but after a while, it just became natural. NOW...If I come across and stranger and use the wrong pronouns, "Hello, sir!" And that person goes off or gets mad at me, it's not my fault that you literally look like a dude in a dress. If you calmly tell me, "It's actually ma'am." Ok, I'll call you that. Lilly Tino is a TikTok trans person that does this on purpose. Looks like a man with long hair that wears make up and dresses, still sounds like a man when talking. Someone says, "Thank you, sir" and the phone is out and recording the interaction...Lilly does it on purpose tho. Recently was in Disney World and used women's restrooms and TOOK PICTURES. So there's a big old up roar about the pictures because Lilly included women in the background. In a public restroom. That's just disgusting.
  22. Pretty good list, and I'm mostly in agreement. I'll nitpick #4, though. While I agree it should not be enforceable, refusing to use someone's preferred pronouns is just a dik move. Forgetting to call them by their preferred pronoun isn't quite as bad, but it's still shitty. I have a friend that's trans, and we told her that calling her a her was an insane expectation since we've known her as a him for almost 30 years. She agreed it was okay for us to say him/he/his, given how long we've known each other. But I've also accidentally called a subordinate at work he instead of she, and while she was cool about it, I felt pretty bad about it. Moral of the story is just treat others with respect, even if you think their life choices are insane.
  23. I'm okay with adults getting for it and PAYING for it with their own money (no SS, no Medicaid, not covered under military either) and as long as they conform to the rules regarding their BIRTH sex, not their FAKE sex: Trannies get the mental health treatment they need before any surgery Trannies cannot go into spaces that don't conform to their BIRTH sex/gender (sex and gender being one and the same) Trannies cannot play in sports that don't conform to their BIRTH sex/gender Trannies cannot force (by law or otherwise) the 99.999% of normal adults to call them by their fake pronouns. Trannies must immediately identify themselves as trans to potential romantic partners. This is to protect themselves from harm. Off the top of my head, that's it. Might think of some more restrictions later on, but that seems very reasonable.

  25. I mean I’m not sure how believing someone was born via divine intervention and later rose from the dead doesn’t conflict with science, but OK. (maybe his birth story would be a better analogy to the trans debate because biology).
