swamp dog 0 Posted October 28, 2005 The Lions suck and I am a big flaming poosay! and yet another exhibit i won't go there with ya, drj. but if you want to have some good-natured fun i'll tell you the same thing i've told don: my bet offer stands until game time sunday. cheers. donhaas 18 Posted October 28, 2005 and i give you exhibits 1, 2, and 3 of exactly what it is i'm talking about. thanks for you last three posts, don. because i'm a sport and want this to remain good-natured, i will keep my fun bet offers out there for you to take any time between now and sunday. but i won't participate in any "kill" shot bets that are obviously designed with hatred and venom in mind. i wouldn't even do a kill shot bet with you on the packers game this weekend. why? because, again, that goes against the spirit of the board and it's a clear sign hatred has won out over some good, clean fun. i don't want to be on the winning end of a bet that sees you or anyone else banned for six months. please examine your motives, chill a bit. if you want to participate in a fun way, the offer to you and everyone else who is interested still stands. Now that you've been exposed to these newbies, you want to be the good guy "venom" "hatred has won over some good" I just spit coffee on my keyboard. I feel sorry for you; but I definitely don't hate you. You do have a problem, but it can be corrected with help. I don't blame you for the way you act like an a-hole. I blame those UP Packer fans who did this to you. You're so dramatic with your "kill shot" bets. I never offered six months -- that's ridiculous. I would settle for one Sampdogless day, though. Obviously, you are so obsessed with this board that you can't even do that. It's clear you don't believe what you say. Go ahead and write "Detroit is gay" at the bottom of your two posts after the Bears win. You've been exposed as a poser. That's all I set out to do. Good luck!! remote controller 143 Posted October 28, 2005 Come on everyone. This Norse division crap is really going too far. It is just a message board, unfortunately one does reap what he sows. Let's get this thing back on track. Everyone involved in this thread, that I didn't even read, needs to notch it down some. Every post involving the Pack, The Bears, and the Lions digresses into meaningless drivel. It is fast becoming, and has been a joke for some time. It's gone to the point where I don't even care where it began. I just want to be able to have a meaningful discussion on the Division from time to time. Are teams are all in shambles at this point, and so are the conversations..........................................................For What it's worth! donhaas 18 Posted October 28, 2005 i'll give you this: with the lions, bears, and vikes killing each other off (essentially) in the next few weeks...the packers *could* re-enter the race if they win all or most of their next 3-4 games. but that's a tall order with cincy, pitt, and atlanta on the schedule. I think these massive injuries are actually a blessing in disguise. It's not fun to watch Tony Fisher and some World League receivers, but that's the hand they've been dealt. I think if Detroit had similiar injuries they wouldn't even be able to beat the Badgers. They'd still beat Michigan, though. The Packers will have a bad record for the first time in 16 years which also means they will have a great drafting position for the first time in 16 years. All of their key players will come back next year -- Walker, Green, Davenport, Flanagan, Ferguson. The defense, which has improved tremendously under Bates this year will continue to improve and add some young studs. The two young guys on the O-line will have a year to gell -- they've been improving every game. So, this is how I see it: Packers 2006: 15-1 Super Bowl victory ; Favre goes out on top; another 16 years of winning seasons. 32 out of 33 winning seasons all told... Lions 2006: "Draft guru" millen takes another receiver - Lions 4-12 That's pretty much how it's going to go But, let's get back on topic, please

Vegas got slammed on MNF (and to some extent Sat NCAA) just FYI, I'd be very careful with lines this week. Lions coming off a win....this is a bad line IMO. Bears have more momentum right now than the Lions do and that D is getting better and better. Each game orton plays in is crucial with so little experience and he will improve every game. And finally? you have yet to extend any bets to me. 1...Packers Bengals...again you do not get it...is there any Packer fan spouting off how they will be that Bengals? Sho Nuff 720 Posted October 28, 2005 Funny, it seems you, sweetnes34, and a couple others show up in every lions thread spouting off to the one you are calling a stalker. It is impossible to actually have a discussion on a thread with the lions in it without one of the first three posts diving straight into baiting/name calling/general blatant Lion/Swampdog hating. Now clearly swampdog is not any better, but nevertheless - I would call that an obsession. Just my 2cp. To answer yours and Ron Hudson's post in one fell swoop — This is the first Lions post I have been in all week. For you to say that I am in every one is an out-and-out Sampdogian lie. It's just a stupid thing to say. I like the Lions and I like most of their fans. I just call out hypocrisy and lies when I see them. I called out Sampdog for his boasting and asked him to back it up. This would have been a short thread if he would have took the bet that he so obviously believes in. But he had to drag it out. Don't play the victim here. Sampdog has been a complete a-hole for four years sabotaging Packer and Bear threads at 20 per day. Now, he gets a tiny taste of his medicine, refuses to take it, and all you Lions fans are . This has nothing to do with Lions fans. Sampdog likes the negative attention. It's much better than the no attention he's used to receiving. Heck, he's usually never even here this late in the season after being an a-hole for the entire off-season and first 5 weeks. To recap: Nobody hates the Lions. They and their loyal fans deserve to have a winning team. Sampdog, on the other hand, is a tremendous a-hole. Go ahead and stick up for him if you like, but do some research first. HTH yep, here's "sabotage" i've done at packer threads this summer: 1) some packer fans say "the guards are easily replaced." i provide data to the contrary and tell them to expect big issues--especially given their interior o-line faces good interior d-lines in det, minny, chi six times a year. the result? name calling, profanity, and posts that question my mental stability. 2) some packer fans say the packers will win their 4th-straight nfcn title. i say i see them winning 5-8 games and fighting for third at best. the result? name calling, profanity, and posts that question my mental stability. 3) some packer fans say the route is on in week 1, no problem. i say "i'll give you the packers and 10 points." more hoots and hollers and questioning of my sanity. 4) i say harrington will have a better rating in week 1 than favre. one packer fan (who never came forward and the post mysteriously disappeared) laughed big time at that and took the bet. in short, packer fans started a variety of threads with pretty much the same thesis: "the pack will always be the pack and 2005 will be no different than it has been the past 14 years." when i provided opinion to the contrary--and gave reasons why i thought that way--the personal venom started. when i'm right? it gets even worse with the name calling and discrediting (oddly enough). i really don't care. it's a silly message board and they can talk and say and do what they want. but the above perspective is needed, of which the packer fans will howl at and discredit by (tada) more personal attacks. it's a predictable pattern. Yup...that is exactly right. 1 Nobody said they would be easily replaced...however, you have, just like this, been putting words in our mouth since the draft so...name calling and profanity? Not really, saying you are ignorant or delusional is a statement of your being. Calling you a dumbass...well that would do it, but you sling the profanity and insults just like anyone else...only difference is you whine about it when it comes back to you. Hypocrisy yet again. 2 Again, your little painting of how things have come down seems like you were just so innocent in your dealings with Packer fans. IT is complete and utter BS and even you know that. No need to go further. You act as if you have made 4 comments in Packers related threads and got laughed at for them. In reality, what we have been posting about is your inconsistent use of stats and basically hypocritical stance you take nearly every single day. You have jumped into basically every single packer related thread and started in on people...not in that happy little manner that you tried describing at all, but spewing your delusional rants and your own little venom often. What is predictable is you have no grasp of reality...as evidenced by your version of the events here during the off-season and season so far. It is why your posts really do not even deserve a response...more than anything just a simple but for some reason I indulge you anyway.

And you post your thoughts of our words as if they are fact and can never back it up with what we actually said. Wow, your hypocrisy knows no bounds, huh? not playing your bitter games anymore, sho. we've moved on from them. i just don't understand your venom and bitterness. i would speculate it has something to do with the packers demise, but you were this same petty, bitter person last summer when you were still predicting the packers were nfcn champs until proven otherwise. so i guess i'm stumped where the bitterness comes from. it's just an ff board, so you're not obligated to share or spill your guts about it. but some of us do wonder. cheers. swamp dog 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Come on everyone. RC is right Evil has won over good today. I promise to never ever post in a Lions thread if others will do the same. this is a public message board! post away at any thread you want! that mindset is half your problem right there. It was a joke The comedy being that I could easily stay away from the one Lions thread I enter a week, but other people would have difficultly not entering the hundreds of Packer threads they go into each week. I do think people are getting a little too serious. Without our playful banter, this topic would be on page 18 by now. C'mon. Lions/Bears??? i have yet to make a post where i'm not inwardly laughing my azz off. perhaps that's part of the problem: mis-reads. anyhoo. i'd agree to a ceasefire...but then again with the next post i make critical of the bears or packers it'll start all over again. the key is in the response--not the initial post i'll give you this: with the lions, bears, and vikes killing each other off (essentially) in the next few weeks...the packers *could* re-enter the race if they win all or most of their next 3-4 games. but that's a tall order with cincy, pitt, and atlanta on the schedule. Funny how you are now using misreads as a slam against others....this is your biggest problem on this board. Aside from the one time you caught PackerAaron, you have misread nearly everything Packer fans have been saying this year. And you post your thoughts of our words as if they are fact and can never back it up with what we actually said. Wow, your hypocrisy knows no bounds, huh? as i said at that time: you could learn a lot from packeraron. me calling him out--and him responding--was all in good fun. you, ironically, projected much into that situation as some sort of misguided attempt to come to packeraron's aid...but his laughing it off and taking his medicine (again, good naturedly) was a lesson that was then--and is now--completely lost on you. i wish you the best. Walter34 3 Posted October 28, 2005 This may be a futile effort, but can we bring this thread back to a discussion on football? Outside of wishful thinking, I havent heard a single analytical point that speaks to what has improved with Det and regressed with Chi since the week 2 ass kicking. Why exactly does Det have the advantage in this game? I would really like to hear the basis of this argument. Since week 2: * Many major injuries or missing players on Det's side including Charles and Shaun Rogers, Roy Williams, Kevin Johnson, Dre Bly and even Mike Williams. * A qb meltdown of epic proportions and a change to the backup who now all of a sudden is so much better * Internal bickering and a coach that seems to lack control over his players * An oline that was completely dominated in week 2 that hasnt shown any noticable improvements and could be without LT Backus. On the Bears side, you have seen * a D that has improved each week. One bad game against Cinci. Det's O has been dismal and there is no reason to think they will break through the Bears D based on each's performance this year * A rookie qb that had 1 very bad game, but has since managed games effectively. He doesnt win them persay, but has not lossed either playing within himself and relying on the run and calling a sound gameplan. * TJ emerging as the season wears on as one of the best backs going. With Rodgers gimpy, Det's run D takes a big hit Pluses for Det are a home game and a mobile journeyman qb replacement. Is that really emough to close the gap? Save the trash and the wishful homer perspective. I'd love to hear some real and reasonable reasons why Det will win. I'd be happy to take swamp up on a sigbet, but the reality is that I hardly post here these days as I'm on the road the next couple of weeks. Not sure it would be fair considering I might post 10 times over vthe next couple of weeks.

NJJoe20 0 Posted October 28, 2005 I've never had the hiccups for more than 20 seconds... For the past twenty minutes, every five seconds or so, hiccup? Pain-killers? Need Food? I like the Bears, simply because their defense will be to good for the Lions offense.
DrJ 0 Posted October 28, 2005 The Lions suck and I am a big flaming poosay! and yet another exhibit i won't go there with ya, drj. but if you want to have some good-natured fun i'll tell you the same thing i've told don: my bet offer stands until game time sunday. cheers. Poor poor swamp puppy crying foul, too classic. i'll take that as a "no" from you. well, i tried. I don't feel that it's necessary to make peace with you. You're a huge jerkoff that has brought every bit of this on yourself. Now that you have your reputation, and of course the odds are stacked against you, you want to back down and have some "good spirited fun". And I'm just not buying it, nor is anyone else it seems. 6 months you focking poosay.
