The only team which actually plays its games in New York.

 

The two New Jersey teams you have mentioned are New York teams in name only.

BTW, when is NY not NY. There is more there than just the 5 buroughs you know.

I moved to Central NY a year and a half ago and get tv and radio coverage of all three teams. I have to say I enjoy talking to the Jets fans most of all. They have the mixture of optimism and misery that reminds me of Browns fans. Bills fans are just miserable and hopeless and Giants fans seem to think the NFL revolves around the NFC East.

I thought about which team I would root for if the Pats were moved. I narrowed it down to Buff. with a Philly option.

Actually the Giants were the favorite team of many NE'ers before the Pats and the AFL came along. I know several older guys 50-60+ who are still diehard Giants fans along with the Sox, Bruins etc. They for the most part don't root for the Pats which to me seems strange. It's pretty interesting talking to them about the old days of rooting for the Boston Braves and Giants. I hate all teams from NY but if there is one it wouldn't kill me to see win it would be the Giants solely because of their following in NE.

Both play their home games in New Jersey.

This polls is flawed for 2 reasons.

1. doesn't contain Buffalo

2. Doesn't have I could care less about NY teams option either.

The Giants used to play pre season games in NE in the 50s, 60s and early 70's.

 

Also the Giants spent 2 full seasons in the Yale Bowl in 73 and 74 while Giants Stadium was being built.
