uubeee 0 Posted April 29, 2006 So we dealt Javon for the 37th pick and then dealt it away to ATL. TT is one busy dude today!
Jeremy 0 Posted April 29, 2006 Wow, I am liking these trades. Stockpile the picks TT!!!! Yep. You knew TT would end up with a ton of picks.
Ed Suspicious 0 Posted April 29, 2006 What did atlanta give for 37?
uubeee 0 Posted April 29, 2006 gotta get 2 OL, a future impact offensive player and 1 more defensive player out of this. GO TT!
swamp dog 0 Posted April 29, 2006 what did they get when they traded the 37 pick?
Fumbleweed 547 Posted April 29, 2006 I'm confused....what exactly did Green Bay get for the 2nd round pick?? My head is spinning.......
Mr Anonymous 24 Posted April 29, 2006 I bet TT still gets his man, Derek Hagan in addition to stockpiling picks. My guess is were getting Atlanta's #47 and a 3rd.
Jeremy 0 Posted April 29, 2006 What did atlanta give for 37? I see we've added pick#47. Not sure what else.
uubeee 0 Posted April 29, 2006 He totally spun the Javon Walker deal. TT you are the man today! Gave NE the 36 pick to take Chad Jackson which left nothing for Denver. Net result was NE's 2nd and 3rd rounder. Traded Javon to Denver for pick 37. Trade pick 37 to Atlanta for 2nd rounder and porbably 3rd rounder. Ended up getting a 2nd and at least TWO 3rd's for Javon.

uubeee 0 Posted April 29, 2006 What did I tell ya. Need some of those Guards that are slipping. And ABDUL HODGE. Have 1 pick ahead of MINNY.
Jeremy 0 Posted April 29, 2006 The Packers then traded WR Javon Walker to the Denver Broncos for pick 37. The Green & Gold subsequently packaged picks 37 & 139 and traded them to the Atlanta Falcons for 47, 93 & 148. http://www.packers.com/draft/2006/
Arsenal 3 Posted April 29, 2006 I tell you, with the crazy run on LBs, AJ is looking like gold right now. Without him, we basically would have been stuck having to take a LB at 36 and there wasn't much left at that point.
Dagger 0 Posted April 29, 2006 Darn. There goes Duce Latui.
Ed Suspicious 0 Posted April 29, 2006 holy ######, they got a 2nd 3rd and a 5th round pick for that second. Nice! Make'em count! We now have 6 day one picks.
Mr Anonymous 24 Posted April 29, 2006 We now have two 2nds and three 3rds....and lots of talent falling into our laps. Lovin' this!
uubeee 0 Posted April 29, 2006 PLEASE OH PLEASE GET HODGE @
Mr Anonymous 24 Posted April 29, 2006 The 2nd rounder we got for Walker was better than what Minny got for CPep. Not bad TT.
kristv 0 Posted April 29, 2006 I think once Dqwell fell off the board, they decided to make the trade with NE. We knew someone was going to trade for Walker, but I never dreamt it would be Atlanta, nor did I ever think they would get a 2nd, 3rd and 5th for him! SCHWEET!!
Mr Anonymous 24 Posted April 29, 2006 We should still have a pick of Stovall, Hagan, Giles, or Hodge. Nice.
Restricted 0 Posted April 29, 2006 We knew someone was going to trade for Walker, but I never dreamt it would be Atlanta, nor did I ever think they would get a 2nd, 3rd and 5th for him! SCHWEET!! ??? The Green Bay Packers traded pick 36 to the New England Patriots for picks 52 and 75. The Packers then traded WR Javon Walker to the Denver Broncos for pick 37. uubeee 0 Posted April 29, 2006 I want Hodge in a bad way. But I would absolutely be thrilled to get LenDale White @ 47.
Mr Anonymous 24 Posted April 29, 2006 I'm calling that #47 will be Hagan, but it would be even better if we could get him at 52.

Walter34 3 Posted April 29, 2006 I may be wrong, but here is how it works out: 36, javon, 139 for 52, 75, 47, 93, 148 Quantity over quality
Dagger 0 Posted April 29, 2006 I'm calling that #47 will be Hagan, but it would be even better if we could get him at 52. I hope not. That guy is extremely overrated.

the screaming banshee 0 Posted April 29, 2006 DIGGIN IT! I stopped by FBG's to see there take on the Packers draft. They seem to hate it so far and think TT has really screwed the pooch so far. Here, it seems to be a very different response. I like what TT's done so far and am praying for the best at the moment.

Here, it seems to be a very different response. I like what TT's done so far and am praying for the best at the moment. I don't see how they wouldn't like it. They got rid of a malcontent (Walker), and picked up a crapload of picks. It's obvious TT builds through the draft. We ALL knew he was going to make some draft day moves for more picks (remember the 11 we had last year?). Again... DIGGIN IT!
swamp dog 0 Posted April 29, 2006 I may be wrong, but here is how it works out: 36, javon, 139 for 52, 75, 47, 93, 148 Quantity over quality i think any team with a bunch of holes does well to get lots of picks. but as i've mentioned before: the packers are, malcontent or not, getting rid of a guaranteed star player for the uncertainty of draft picks. you still have to make those draft picks count. unless you're trading a player for another proven player, there's always the risk you end up with nothing if you botch the draft pick(s)
Mr Anonymous 24 Posted April 29, 2006 I'm glad we didn't go after Lendale. You have to wonder about a guy who lets his weight go, can't run a good 40 time, is injured, has a drug question and can't bench press more than a punter. The guy just didn't give a damn. Maybe he'll get his act together, maybe.
jhart05 0 Posted April 29, 2006 I wonder what the idiot A-holes who bash TT by the hour over on the JS Online MB are thinking about this today. (Thinking may be giving those idiots too much credit, but I can't think of a better word for them right now.) I like what they have done so far with what they had to work with. I wanted Vince Young but obviously he wasn't available. Didn't want the USC golden boy, I don't think he is going to end up any better than Rodgers. Would have been nice to have that big TE, but I'm a fan of Bubba. Pack is up right now, let's see who they take.
