BOSTON - A veteran who lost both arms in the war in Iraq is suing filmmaker Michael Moore for $85 million, alleging that Moore used snippets of a television interview without his permission to falsely portray him as anti-war in "Fahrenheit 9/11."

Agreed. I think the amount of money is outrageous (and probably a number that the lawyers came up with after looking at the deep pockets of the defendants...Moore...Miramax...)

 

However, Moore has made millions off of taking snippets of people and splicing them toegether (all w/out permission from these people) to make his own "truth." He's made a living out of misrepresenting people and misconstruing what they say on purpose to advance his own agenda.
