Youve got a solid team, Joc. You know Im just joshin'. Larry Johnson gives you a major advantage over every other team, imo. But I think I just took command of this draft with the Antonio Bryant pick.

Antonio is a good pick. He could be a #2 receiver, though he could just as easily be a #4.

Bryant does have a load of talent....there's no doubt about it. And he could very well be my 4th best WR considering Im not done drafting stud WRs, and he's got a questionable QB situation that will contribute to his success. But his statistical chart shows improvement each year, capped by his 1st 1000yd season in '05 which was his 4th season, so he's coming into his prime and considering Cleveland's QB situation was a little questionable and that division he played was arguably a tougher defensive division, Im optimistic that Bryant could develop into somewhat of a force as the #1 with the Niners. Though admittedly, Im not sold on the starting QB at all, but Bryant will benefit from Ds paying close attention to the other key players(ahem....ahem!) and the Norv Turner designed running game. But considering that the NFC West will be a very high scoring division, I can see the Niners throwing the ball more than most teams, and Bryant is without a doubt the best theyve got. I expect 70-80 catches and over 1000yds with about 6 or 7 TDs.

According to "ADP"...I probably selected Winslow a round or 2 too early...

 

But I just didn't want to take a risk since there's still a team behind me on the turn that has no tight end. I value this guy probably alot more than most....but I've been watching him since high school and I know what he's capable of. I have him ranked as my #2 TE right behind Gates. Crazy? Maybe.....but he's the best tight end I've ever seen. Period.

 

1000 yards and 8 TD's are what I'm expecting from him. He's better than his father, which is saying something. He'll be a 3rd round pick in next year's fantasy drafts. I know these are strong words and really sound like a stretch......but he's my absolute sleeper of the year. The guy I think will most make an impact on fantasy rosters being selected in the middle to late rounds.

I dont really feel your top 2 status, but I know you love your Miami guys, and in the 9th round, how much wrong can you do anyway? Youve had a rock solid draft so far, so imo you can really afford to take a few chances. I love the declaration of the pick. Ill be watching him with interest this year.

If I can make a recommendation to you guys, have dinner at Carnitas in the Gas Lamp district.

 

Fantastic food. I worked down there for 6 months, and that was my favorite restaurant. And if you're wondering what to order, get the carnitas plate. Fresh corn tortillas, all the fixin's - best carnitas ever. Melts in your mouth. Pork shoulder slow-oven roasted/broiled until it fries itself in its own fat and just falls off the bone - could anything possibly taste better?

 

I think not.

 

Take my advice: go to Carnitas for dinner - they have a great selection of premium tequilas, too.

Hey guys. Sorry my time management has sucked! I haven't read this thread cause I'm headed back out. But I assume all you guys are bashing me...I'm officially offended, yeah right. I'm having a fantastic time with my my wife and daughter. I checked who's been picked. Thanks Solo for jumping in. Not my top picks, but begger's cant be choosers...and I like the stradegy anyway. I email Guru my next 3 guys on my list as a target. The kid's been wearing down and thus gives me a little time to check in, finally. Again, sorry for extreme delay. As long as this draft has taken, surely one of these past nights we could have all agreed to be online and do a live draft, but you know...hindsight. I'm off to MGM today.

Clash, for what it is worth, as the above post indicates, GP has sent me a list for his next picks. I don't believe he feels he has to check in anytime soon. He probably figures he is covered for a couple of days. He also indicated in the above post that he was fine with the stradegy that was used on his last two picks. If he is fine with it, then why pursue a trade on the premise that he is not?

 

Do as see fit, as I am just trying to help out for those that need their picks posted. I must say that I don't understand why you have allowed your time to lapse. As far as your comment on Sweetness getting all weekend, as an outside observer, it is my opinion that two wrongs do not make a right. I have probably said more than I should. But, you guys can finish this thing just the way you started it, if everyone would make their picks in a timely manner without any excuses. Think positive. Just my thinking.

For what it is worth, Solo, when I posted that I would be able to check in at 3:00pm "tomorrow" I made that post at 2:28 am friday nite. The tomorrow I was referring to would have been Sat when I had an 8:00 am tee time. I did check in about 3:00 pm on Sat. My tee time Sunday was at 1:30 pm. So....that is what happened to 3:00pm. It was not my intent on Friday nite to say when I would be able to check in on Sunday, not knowing how I would finish in the standings on Sat.
