Yer mom 2 Posted November 10, 2006 Wagering Warriors, Im exited to say that im going to fockin torch the NFL this weekend...just a hunch. Great garbage balls of fire tonight, degenerates delight. What a line up of action, gimme the vicadins now im spiraling out of control. Could very well get my first loss of the week on tonights trash... Theres no reason Central Michigan shouldnt cover, but im not the oddsmaker and they have it at -6 so i'll try to make it easy on myself here. CM has scored 169 points in their last 5 games which comes out to nearly 34 point per game over that stretch. WMU has scored an avererage of 28 points per game in their last 3...very inconsistent season scoring wise though. Playing the OVER 46.5 here...for kicks. Still debating the UTEP/AB game....It may rain a bit in this one, ill check the forecast later... Good Luck!!

BTW, sorry for my incessant whining yesterday and thanks for the late winner with the 2H Dal-Pho Over.

BTW, sorry for my incessant whining yesterday and thanks for the late winner with the 2H Dal-Pho Over. I'll put it this way, I just called The Greek and said "Id like to place a loser please" They said "Sure thing sir, which game would you prefer to lose on this evening" I said "Feel free to pick one" They said "How about the CM/WM Over sir" I said "That sounds great" We reconfirmed one loss on the call and hung up the phone... I've seen guys do worse, this hobby tends to do that to a good man when it gets rough.... Good Luck!!
Tarheel Boy 0 Posted November 10, 2006 Wow, first time I opened this thread, started here on page 8. It was like the twilight zone, I coulda sworn I opened the college football wagering thread, but on this page it is the NBA thread. Man o man, I used to love this thread, now there is too much crap on it to find anything useful. Guess you don't have to worry about opening the thread again. NBA Denver (+3) NCAA Cal Poly Slo (-4) for 2 units San Diego St (-8.5) Clemson (-12.5) for 2 units Butler (-2) Oregon (-19) for 2 units Hawaii (+7.5) Edit: Adding... The Iowa State BB line has moved from 15 at noon to 17 right now. I liked it at 15....i like Cal Riverside at -17. ISU is pretty young and not all that talented. Tarheel Boy 0 Posted November 10, 2006 Since you guys don't mind me putting in the college hoop games I like then I'll put it here for now. All of these are for one unit. Ohio State -26.5: So far the heavy favorites are covering and I think the Buckeyes will continue the trend. Even with Oden, this team is stacked. I'm anxious to see just how good Mike Conley is and from everything I've read he's going to be awesome. Jamar Butler is an underrated PG and I think the backcourt play will be too much tonight. Texas -14.5 1H: The starters got a lot of rest last night and I expect the same kind of output tonight from this young and very talented freshman squad. Elon +20.5: I know I'm going against the early line comments and Georgia Tech has two outstanding freshmen in Thaddeus Young and Javaris Crittenton, but I think Elon's guard play will keep Elon within 20. Eastern Washington +9.5: I know Gonzaga is tough at home, but I think Eastern Washington will keep this game close. They return 4 of their starters and is a decent team from the Big Sky conference. They return one of the nation's best scorers in Rodney Stuckey. Some hoops for tonight. I'll be adding more later on in my original Friday post from the prior page. NBA Denver (+3) NCAA Cal Poly Slo (-4) for 2 units San Diego St (-8.5) Clemson (-12.5) for 2 units Butler (-2) Oregon (-19) for 2 units Hawaii (+7.5) Edit: Adding... Toronto (-4.5) New Jersey (-4.5) Wofford (+13) Penn St (-16.5) Georgia Tech (-20.5) Samford (+24.5) Oklahoma St (-27) Texas (-27) I think that should do it. The Georgia Tech game is one I'm not sure about because they have the talent to win by 40. I think Anthony Morrow is not playing and he's one of their better perimeter players. I like the Clemson pick because they usually cover early season non conference games. I've been eyeing the Wofford line too, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. NC State has a new coach and a lot of new faces.

GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted November 11, 2006 Adding Clemson -12.5 The ACC will interesting this year as I view it as a trasitional year for the ACC. Bet Tennessee tonight. I'm impressed with Pearl's last 2 years and expect more this year. They are good this year from what I can tell. The defense creates their offensive opportunities. They will have to be reckoned with by Florida this year, and I don't know who will come out on top. Darkhorses to consider in your picks this year: Bucknell, Winthrop, Nevada, Southern Illinois, and Hofstra. good luck
phillybear 366 Posted November 11, 2006 Work in progress post, as I will repost Saturday morning. I will add to this post as I go along. Seems like I am going a bit more conservative this week, as I don't have a 3 unit game yet. But that might change tomorrow. In time order Minnesota (-1.5) Navy (-15) for 2 units Tulane (+4.5) for 2 units Utah (-12.5) for 2 units SMU (+3) for 2 units Pittsburgh (-7.5) for 2 units New Mexico (+7) for 2 units San Jose St (+14) for 2 units Boston College (-29) for 2 units Alabama (+18) for 2 units Central Florida (-2.5) for 2 units Kansas St (+16) for 2 units San Diego St (-9) for 2 units Arizona St (+1)

UNC/BC/Dook/Georgia Tech look to be locks for the tourney, but I do think it will be a much better conference this year than last. I like your darkhorse picks of Bucknell and Southern Illinois. Another team to look at is Houston. They covered a lot early last year, but started to fade. I think they can make the tourney this year. I lost the focking Texas bet by a half point. Durant missed a FT late in the first half and Chicago State made a layup with about 10 seconds left. Looks like tOSU is going to cover, but Eastern Washington is struggling. phillybear 366 Posted November 11, 2006 i see your going with dr. bob tomorrow. you really trust him even though all of america is riding him? It's a starting point for tomorrow. I liked most of those games to begin with, and a couple I was unsure about, his writeups made a lot of sense. I also will be playing a bunch of other games. I already have Tulane, Alabama, and Utah as 2 unit games as well. Yeah, it's makes me nervous that a lot of people are following him all of the sudden. I hate to make any of those games any more than a 2 unit play.
greyhounds 0 Posted November 11, 2006 Philly Bear....Dr. Bob is solid along with Spylock ! I think its funny that Hurricane Named Ditka ( thats his name on Fantasy Sharks ) wants him to come on here and post his picks AGAINST Him..haha. Ditka can't even pay his Bills and took Louisville last night while We were all Golden on Rutgers. I am on Utep tonight along with Bob ...$$$$ I also had the over in Toronto/Atlanta NBA at 202..landed about 213... A sweet winner and another Dr. Bob Pick. phillybear 366 Posted November 11, 2006 Dam. UTEP went for 2 and didn't make it. With two UAB TDs, the game would push. I am very agitated, with that large parlay looming like a 500 lb gorilla on my back. I hope I can hit it, but I just know somehow it will get focked somehow. UTEP sucks in second halves this year, getting outscored many, many times.

I have a 4 team parlay that 3 of the 4 should hit Clemson -13 Butler +1 (Who is up 43-19?..wow) Cal Riverside +17 NOW......CU needs to win by 9. Considering ill get fvcked over on this.....may as well lay some heavy coin on Denver to cover because the chances i get screwed is 100%.

I also know that Ditka wins a hell of a lot more then he loses. I'm up over $900 and I'm a $10 to $20 player with the occassional $50 thrown in for fun. Not a single one of my bets were based on this Dr. Bob you reference, but about 85% plus of my picks are based on Ditka. Just some facts related to myself. Oregon in college hoops, and an opinion on Denver in the NBA. That's it. Wherever you got those picks from, they are incorrect. But if you are winning with them, that's all that counts. Also, I wonder why you thought I went to Cardinal Dougherty in a previous post. There are several phillybear's out there in the internet world, much to my chagrin. Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted November 11, 2006 Enough is enough and it time to unleash my picks. After a super day last Saturday I have stunk it up once again in midweek play. I am riding some of Phillys picks tonight to hopefully make back a little cash. Feeling decent about these 12 plays for Saturday tossing 5 units each (Last Saturday 12 plays x 5 units was my lucky number going 10-2). YTD College 117-57-9 (+82.5 units) <----If UTEP covers!! Boise St -13.5 (They want to be noticed so I expect a large margin of victory here) Texas Tech +9 Cincy/WV over 46 South FL/Syracuse over 39 Navy -14.5 Minnesota -2 LaTech/Hawaii under 76 <----overrated offense Air Force +11 SMU +3 Tenn/Arkansas over 46.5 Indiana +19 (look ahead #1) Northwestern +23 (look ahead #2) Hey Greyhounds, Not sure why you feel the need to come here and start some crap? This is a pretty friendly group here to talk sports handicapping and try to win some money. Sure sometimes we use humor (like me calling out Dr. Bob) but we all know each other and get it! You don't. Another thing. Why do you find humor in the joke "Ditka can't pay his bills" or whatever your saying. Am I missing the punchline? Could you follow it up with something that will at least make me chuckle? Stupid. So I missed on Louisville! It happens. But I posted my opinion along with everyone else. No need to point out who won the game and who was on what side of the action. We already know. If you would like to post your picks and opinions by all means hang around! But if your going to come in and drop your knowledge on us after the games, well then your not welcome! Got that Chief?
