I hate that people call Tomlinson - LT

Recommended Posts

The only question now is what to do with their bodies.

LT2

Or maybe LT²

How about:

"Mr. LT"

Or would Laurence Tureaud take offence?

he almost became known as "the joystick" but that might have been a little to fruity... it seemed to die away after a stong start from Sportscenter calls.

My Bad.. I dind't know there was another thread on this. I'll switch topics... I heard that on Yahoo you can start Colston as a TE.

That's right and he's injured but I can't start Devery Henderson at Tight End. :bench:

I do have Benjamin Watson though. :dunno:

Back to the point of this thread, who cares?

I would like to get my nickname changed to LT3. The only 2 people, that I know of with that nickname, were or are HOF's at their positions.

If people could start calling me LT3, I'd appreciate it. Next thing you know, I'm kicking everyones butt at work and getting promoted. :dunno:

Crack Free LT

Does that keep it simple?

I hate the fact that folks today don't realize that the original LT revolutionized the game with unheard of speed, ferocity, and game-changing ability. Dude was rookie of the year, defensive player of the year THREE times, won two Super Bowls, and went to the Pro Bowl ten times.

LT2 is great, but the only thing he's revolutionized is nickname whining. He's never led the league in rushing (though he did lead in total yardage once), made the Pro Bowl three times (in five tries), and hasn't turned his team into a super bowl team.

I hope they put together DVD collections of the biggest games by the biggest players in NFL history.

At least he isn't a drug addict and horrible role model. Tomlinson is twice the "man" Taylor ever was.

You're an idiot.

You plug an undereducated freak of an athlete into the biggest media circus our country knows, then feed him painkillers and shots and tell him to pulverize the other team, and you're shocked he comes out dysfunctional and drug addicted?

To pretend you know the secrets of athletes is ridiculous. I wonder how many people said "Kirby Puckett is twice the man that ____ is" before they found out what kind of guy Kirby REALLY was? You don't know jack about these guys, you just tune in to watch the devastation unfold. LT provided that devastation. LT2 provides it today... but only one of those guys did it like noone ever had before, for an entire career, at the highest level possible. Dude might be a jerk, but he earned that nickname. Did you earn yours, smashmouths? Would you tell LT to his face that he wasn't a man? Of course you would. Internet tough guys always do.

Actually Tom you sound pretty retarded. LT is as classy as they come while LTaylor was a crackhead thug. One of the greatest to ever play but problematic as a teammate as well. Sleeping during meetings taking off practices. LT2 is the consumate pro and quite possibly the greatest to ever run the ball.

So please Tom for the good of this whole board, shut your trap with that crap. You have ZERO to say against LT2 so stop fishing.

You've just proven you have no knowledge of the game.

Say what you want about LT, but you're saying a guy who's never even led the league in rushing is possibly the greatest? Yeah, well, that's not a very exclusive group, then.

Is everyone here 12 years old?

I'll take Jim Brown 100 times out of 100 over LT, along with the rushing titles, mvps, and championship. You can enjoy your cutback runs and staying home during the playoffs.

Now, feel free to bash the greatest RB ever for being such a bad guy. Enjoy your moral high horse.

Why does he have to have a nickname at all? Most of the elite players don't have them anyway. Typically (these days at least), it's only the a$$holes. :pointstosky:

What difference does it make who the better running back is? All of these rankings are heresay and have no meaning. Its like the old Commodore 64 vs Apple lle back in the 80s or the heated Super Nintendo vs Sega of the early 90s - in the end, its just a game and who cares.

No, were not 12 years old.... we are just tired of the Jim Brown slobbering we have to listen to from the old fartbags on this site that cant realize that there are new players that are BETTER than their beloved childhood idols. Its the same in all sports...the 40++ crowd HATES new players and cant fathom the thought of a newer gen player showing up their guy from the 60's.

Too focking bad.... this just in: SEVERAL RB"s have surpassed Jim Brown. To name a few: Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, and TOMLINSON. Sorry but thats the way it is. Get used to it.

On top of all that, Jim Brown is an obnoxious "activist" that cant keep his focking mouth shut. Hes a Malcolm X supporter...great Jim...just great. ;)

Recent studies show: Jim Brown is OLD news... the torch has been passed.
