Last year you had a guy that could actually sing in Daughtry and a hot chick in Kat who could really sing and a hot total country girl slut in Kellie Pickler . This season you got NO one who can actually sing at all and all the focking chicks are total fugly. I predict AI officially dies after this season. I didn't see the guys, but when the first girl went and the judges said she was better than any of the guys, I was like She was alright but not great. I know who you're talking about but to me all that music sounds the same. That loud, yelling Aretha thing that they got going doesnt do anything for me. Matter of fact, I dont think I've ever heard anything from fantasia, Ruben or Taylor hicks since they've won. This is good since I didnt care for their type of music. It should be all about the music....not about who's "hot" or not. If you're looking for a place to watch "hot" women, there are plenty of other places to go. Now, if the singing is indeed poor, that's another matter. But, any movement towards it being more about the music and less about a person's looks is a move in the right direction, IMO. The judges like to say it is a "singing" competition, but IMO it is a "performance" competition. Fair enough.....but the comments so far seem to imply that it's about who's "hotter", which is something very different from stage presence and engagement of a crowd. Pop music has been littered with a number of "hot-looking" artists who wouldn't even be allowed in a recording studio based on their talent and singing ability alone for some time now. Country music is the same way. I was a big fan of Mary-Chapin Carpenter, but she was pushed out of the country scene not because of her music, but because she wasn't "hot" enough. Stupid. There was a reason Simon wanted Taylor voted off so badly and for Chris or Kellie to win. This season a female Ruben likley wins and you never hear a damn thing from her again ! But there were some good talent in the girls, I wouldn't be surprised if the top 4 at the end is that one black guy (brandon rogers) and 3 girls...I'm predicting Stephanie, Doolittle, and the last girl.
