I'm ranked in the mid 700's and i usually attack people in the 900-1000 range. In the morning, i use all of them at a time and during work, i'll let 5-6 build up then attack. And when i attack, i keep attacking people down the list, unless i guy is like 1.5 or something. I attack all races.

From the suppor/update forum on everwars

The following changes and have been made to EverWars:

Currency/Battle Credits:
* The Battle Credits cap of 24 has been removed.
* Gold and Battle Credits have been merged and renamed to EverPoints (EP/EPs).
* You earn one EverPoint every 30 minutes now.
EverPoints will stop being earned if you are away from the site for more than 12 hours (cap = 24 EP)
Characters:

The base life statistic has been increased to 300 life points instead of 200 life points.

Every Offense slot must be equipped with an offense item or you will be unable to attack when empty slots are used.
There are now 10 Offense slots.

Skills:
*Skill points no longer increase in cost the higher the skill level being trained.
*Each skill now has its own cost assigned to it so some skills can be more expensive to train than others.
*The game now supports Unused Skill Points.
*When you have unused Skill Points, they are used before EverPoints when paying to training your skills.

Rankings:
*Player Rankings are now based on Ranking Points received from your most recent battles.
*Player Rankings are separated into 4 ranking groups from Rank I (first) through Rank IV (last).
*Ranking Points are based on the ranking group of the players you attack and defeat.
Prizes:

*New prize types (Rank I through Rank IV) have been added for each ranking group.
*The ranking group of your opponent determines which prize type you earn.
*Recruiting now rewards players with Recruitment Prize Codes which are basically the same thing as the former Silver Prize Codes.
*Instead of gold and items, most prize codes will reward players will skill points and items.

Item Shops:
*The time that the next inventory update will occur is displayed at the top of the page in the Item Shops.

Items:
*Players can now equip every single item in the game.
*Minimum Strength and Magic item requirements have been removed from every item.
*Many items now have a required skill level.
*Item card images now show the require skill level.
*Item stats will be reduced if your skill level does not meet the requirements.

Energy Points:
*Players now start each battle with 100 energy points.
*Many items now have an energy cost when used.
*When your energy points are depleted, you can no longer use items that require energy points for the rest of the battle.
*If you run out of usable offense and backpack items, you will lose the battle.

Battles:
*Critical hits have been added to the game. Some items will perform critical hits more often than others and the amount of damage you do is based on your Strength (for weapons) and Magic (for spells).
*You must recover from battles you initiate before you attack other players. If you attack another player within 60 seconds, you will only have 50 percent of your health. If you attack another player between 60 and 120 seconds, you will only have 75% of your health.
*When you have not fully recovered from the last battle, the number of seconds until you do fully recover will be displayed on each page.

Other Notes:
*Clicking on the prize code link on the battle results page will now claim your prize automatically.

New Players:
*New players now receive 25 skill points when they create their character.

Conversion Notes:
*Gold has been converted to EverPoints at a 3 to 1 ratio. For every 3 gold you had, you now have 1 everpoint.
*Previously trained skill points have been returned and stored as Unused Skill Points so you can retrain skills as you like.
*Every player has received an additional 25 skill points in order to compensate players for what new players now receive.

I can't figure it out either.

Your gold was converted to points at a 3:1 ratio. That's why the gold is gone.

But my stats are out of whack too. I gained a point in strength, but lost some in magic?

I had a sword that was going to give me +5 strength and +5 life. Now it's only going to give me +5 life. :dunno:

In the skill training, can you just start training in 'heavy' armor? Or do you have to start with 'light'? And if you can, what's the difference? Are all the points you use on a 1:1 ratio with the skill points?

Maybe I should go read, but I'd rather let you tell me so I can just play. :wall:

Not entirely sure about all the stat modifiers and what not, but it looks like they've all been tweaked to a lower number. My guess is they were "tweaked" due to stats not mattering in terms of equipping items now. As for the skills, I believe you can start learning any skill.

For example, take my best weapon:

Skill:

Journeyman Largesword

Skill Level:

0 / 50

Stamina Cost:

3 Points

Action:

Weapon Damage (9)

Limitations:

Delay (9 turns)

Stats:

Life (+1), Str (+1)

The skill is Journeyman Largesword..... it used to have a damage of 17, my guess is the more I increase my Journeyman Largesword skill the more damage I'll be able to do with it. Also, back to the stat modifiers, it used to be +5 for each Life and Strength.

Any help?

ETA: I just upgraded my Journeyman Largesword skill by 10 skill points, and the damage for the above weapon went up to 10, additionally the skill level now reads 10/50

Wow. You guys don't read. :wall:

If you want an items full capabilites, you now have to train to 100 in it's item type. :pointstosky: Oh yeah, there's still a 500 point cap!

Your "skill points" are a refund from all the skills you purchased pre-update. After they run out, each advance in a skill cost one everpoint.

Unless of course said item maxes out at less than 100 skill points

Yeah....

So far I don't like this update.

For all of you worried about ranking, jump all the people on page one or two that aren't online. You could probably even beat someone a little higher in ranking than you if you can last long enough in the fight. I beat three people today in the top 50 today because they ran out of stamina with all the rare weapons they were using.

I don't understand these bogus prize codes. I fought a guy on the last page 2,300+ and my prize (rank 4)was 1 skill point. I beat the guy nine spots in front of me (rank 1), 300-something, and was awarded 1 skill point. My last rank 1 prize code was a Fire Blast scroll (1 damage). What the fock is that? :bandana:

I'm guessing it's pure %.

The higher the rank, the better chance you have of getting a good prize. But there's still a chance you'll get a kickass prize from a rank 4 code, and crap from a rank 1 code.

I started attacking the last page noobs - you can still defeat them easily, even with half strength...and you get the same prize (1 skill point) as most of the Level I prizes....kinda sucks, but beats sitting there watching for 120 seconds....

I don't like the changes. When you use all your ever points it takes forever to do anything. :dunno:

aside from the 30 minutes per ep, I like the new changes. I really like that you can sell stuff for ep's, and then use that to fight again.

One question though, since both magic, and intelligence increase the spell damage, is one better, or any different than the other?

It looks like they've done away with the 15 mintues between attacking the same person thing.

So if you can find someone to b!tchslap (page 21) easily, you can attack them again even with the 50/75% life thing.

The way I understand it is that magic increases the spell damage and intelligence increases the frequency/probability that you will inflict said damage.
