There was a rumor that Paul was dead that the beatles really did nothing to diffute. There was actually a look a like contest run to find his replacement. Not by the Beatles, but by some business or radio station. Billy Shears was the supposed winner, Thus, "Let me introduce to you, the one and only Billy Shears." In "A Day In A Life" Paul, "blew his mind out in a car, he hadn't noticed that that the lights had changed." Every song ever written by Paul or John, while the Beatles were together, was credited -Lennon/McCartney. Even though many songs they wrote they wrote alone. One song was Credited differently. many thought this was all part of the Paul is dead scam by the Beatles, which they never admitted to. It was: I'm Looking Through You - Paul (Paul's a ghost ) On the cover of Abbey Road you see the 4 of them marching a cross Abbey road with a white Volkswagon in the background. I'm going by memory here so bear with me on the order. Leading was John dressed in all white to represent God. Next Ringo, dressed like a Preacher. Then Paul.....Barefoot, out of step, and smoking a cigarette. All signs of death, as he was the corpse. Followed by the Grave Digger, George. The volkswagon in the back ground bore a license plate. LMWB28IF. Paul's real name is Leonard Paul McCartney. (or Paul Leonard McCartney) Paul's B-day had passed and he would have been 28, thus Leonard (L) McCartney (M) would (W) be ( 28 (28) IF (IF) he hadn't have died. On the other side of the Album is a Stone or rock Sign. It say BEATLES ABBEY ROAD. The cracks in sign separate letters. Between the E and the A............BE..............between the T and the L...........AT..........LES (spanish for "the") BE AT THE Abbey................A cemetary in London. Ringo Is Billy Shears It was Ringo who sang after Shears was introduced The album cover to Sgt. Pepper also has many so called clues. The crowd of people surrounding the grave, contain many famous people who died tragically. They are standing in front of a grave with a left handed bass adorning it. If I'm not mistaken, Paul is facing the other way. If not on this cover he is on another. (or on back cover) During "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" turn it up at the end. Hear George cry out over and over, PAUL< PAUL<PAUL<PAUL then YEAH<YEAH<YEAH. There is a song that, when played backwards, you plainly hear "He's a deadman", another that John hollers out, "I buried Paul" at the end. I believe that was Strawberry Fields???? (though not sure) (maybe Day Tripper) Paul also sit on a hill with his back truned on another album which contains the song "Fool on the Hill". I repeat.............I am pulling this soley from memory, from a Beatle trivia show that on WOW radio out of Omaha, when I was only 12 to 14 or so, making this 32+ years ago.
