Here's the problem with blaming the Federal government for this.

 

It should never be the Federal Governments place to monitor/repair bridges in MN, Levees in New Orleans or Dams in Iowa.

It should be left up to the local govts. It's much easier for them to monitor them and keep their finger on the pulse of what's going on locally than it is for the Feds, not to mention it would cost alot less.
