VikesFan 1 Posted October 10, 2007 Who is Ron Paul? Is he that guy who runs every year as a joke? I suspect you are fishing, but if you are not, then I can say you are offbase. Paul did run in 88 (I think) under the libertarian party, but he's been a Republican Congressman ever since and to my knowledge has not run any other time. With that said, I'll freely admit to 1) Not being BLS and 2) being a Ron Paul supporter. With that said, I'd challenge any of you to look at Paul and compare him to your favorite candidate, and I suspect that most of you will find out that he stands up favorably to that said candidate, and in many cases, I suspect he'd be your best option. Paul is no longer a fringe candidate. He raised more money last quarter than McCain and Huckabee combined, and is now starting to register in the media polls, despite their attempt to largely ignore him. According to online polls, he's either viewed favorably or won just about each debate he's participated in, despite the media's attempt to pretend he doesn't exist. Here is the most recent one: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20873697/ I'd also add, that he is the only candidate with a reasonable shot at beating Hillary... For all of you who like to complain about the way things are done in DC, voting for Hillary, Obama, McCain, Rudy, Fred, or not voting will leave you with more of the same. I think it is about time for all of us who are upset with the way DC is run to either put up or shut up. We will not likely see a candidate this good again.
