NewbieJr 541 Posted November 26, 2007 This is shocking news. I would have never seen him as a guy associated with this kind of activity. He always seemed so classy.

NewbieJr 541 Posted November 26, 2007 c'mon, man...joking about a guy that might really die is even low for an eagles fan. I'm certainly not hoping he dies. You don't think this was random, do you? Look at his past. The fact that he has kids makes me hope he pulls through.

The fact that he has kids makes me hope he pulls through. what does his past have anything to do with this? he was robbed at his house and shot and might die. what because he's made some questionable decisions in the past, he had this coming? phillybear 366 Posted November 26, 2007 He is in extremely critical condition. By coincidence, I was listening to WJFK in Washington DC on stream at work, and they broke into the programming to cover the story. Taylor is most likely going to die. I am providing no commentary on this; just providing a realistic expectation of a conclusion to this incident. And I think it was an ex-girlfriend that shot him in the groin. Who else could be so cold-hearted?
KSB2424 3,174 Posted November 26, 2007 c'mon, man...joking about a guy that might really die is even low for an eagles fan. What did you expect. This is the same guy that prolly stood in ovation with his other Eagle brethren when it looked like Michael Irving broke his neck on the field.

NewbieJr 541 Posted November 26, 2007 so he deserved this? he wasn't a some night club at 3am...he was at his house with his baby daughter. wow, could you be more of a focking dik? Link to where I said he deserved this? You're trying to make something out of this that isn't there. I already said I hope he survives. If the frustration of losing a player on your team is alleviated by somehow trying to make me out as unsympathetic, then I have have no problem absorbing some of your hurt right now, but let's not completely misdirect our feelings, kay? If I found out Ron Artest was shot, I would feel the same way. I would hope he survived, but my "shocked" meter wouldn't register very high.

Until we have the facts, we are ALL speculating. Hey, maybe it was a completely random thing. A robber stumbled upon his house and ended up shooting him. Who knows? I'm just saying that it's been my experience that 95% of these sort of things stem from gangster-like past experiences. All I know about Taylor is that he had the gun incident this past year and that he spit in a players face during a game a few years ago. That is more than enough to draw a conclusion about his character. That being said, I'll repeat for the fifth time that I hope he survives for his children's sake. I also hope it is an eye opening experience and he changes his a life around.

I also hope it is an eye opening experience and he changes his a life around. I'm not speculating on the dude's character, I have no idea about his character. But the first thing I thought was about that rash of NBA ballers who got jacked in their homes. If I had to guess, I'd say this is NOT a random deal. Has nothing to do with the homeowner's character. He shows off his crib to his family and his "posse", he has some shady cousin or hanger-on who brags about it to HIS thugster buddies and they figure - easy score and "what the hell, the dude's insured and he's a millionaire." Sure as hell doesn't mean ST's a thug or has direct ties to gangsters. But hell, a lot of home robberies are "inside jobs". Meth head grandson knows when the grandparents are gone - bam - easy score. Wouldn't be surprised if that were the case in this and the NBA robberies.
