ZeroTolerance 582 Posted April 17, 2008 Alright, I think we can probably expect the Tigers to lead the league in 6+ run innings. Hopefully they start mixing more 2-3 run innings in between and this habit of long scoreless droughts is past them. Also, Galarraga represent...just don't expect him to be a fixture long term. Can we at least say "gettin miggy with it"? God damnit...did you have to remind me of the terrible catch phrase we will no doubt have beaten into our heads this summer? ZeroTolerance 582 Posted April 17, 2008 Inge walked on 4 pitches with bases loaded. I bet they did it on purpose to get to Pudge. As a side note, Dominik the sieve gets blitzed again.

ZeroTolerance 582 Posted April 17, 2008 Good thing we have a 10 run lead. Meh, for all that has gone right the last 3 days, we still have basically 4 positions that haven't begun to contribute (catcher, DH, LF, 2B). Scariest line-up with 4 sub-.200 hitters ever?
kilroy69 994 Posted April 17, 2008 True. We really should have Clete Thomas as our starting left fielder. Gary should be sitting at the DH spot. He sucks.

cmh6476 755 Posted April 17, 2008 the Tigs were really looking forward to getting away from that lights out Royals pitching. Unfortunate way for them to start the season, really.
swirvenirvin 25 Posted April 17, 2008 Magglio Ordonez (Tigers) Total Hits+Runs+RBIs - Must Start Hits+Runs+RBIs 04/17/08(19:05 ET) Over 2.5 (+115)
ZeroTolerance 582 Posted April 18, 2008 3 weeks into the season and we still don't have anyone resembling a starting major league pitcher (aside from a minor-leaguer playing out of his mind for one night). As if we don't have enough problems already, everyone is playing like morons as well. How the hell are you gonna go into home standing up with a throw coming??!? swirvenirvin 25 Posted April 18, 2008 OK like i said fockers I am hot.. I will bet against the Tigers again tomorrow if you want to send me some money.. Otherwise I will bet with them and they will continue to lose 0-

ZeroTolerance 582 Posted April 18, 2008 Stranding 5 runners on base in the first two innings. Can we bench Sheffield yet? 5th inning update: 2 hits, 7 walks, 1 run...this offense may be the most overrated thing in sports since Charlie Weis.
swirvenirvin 25 Posted April 19, 2008 Stranding 5 runners on base in the first two innings. Can we bench Sheffield yet? Great #3 hitter, 2 RBI's... Move him down and Renteria up
ZeroTolerance 582 Posted April 19, 2008 Great #3 hitter, 2 RBI's... Move him down and Renteria up Not to mention that he makes stupid plays like going into home standing up last night, single-handedly killing a rally. He is a liability near the top of the order right now.
swirvenirvin 25 Posted April 19, 2008 Not to mention that he makes stupid plays like going into home standing up last night, single-handedly killing a rally. He is a liability near the top of the order right now. Leyland will NOT move him down either, at least not for another 100 games or so... What did he leave on base today 8 runners already, all he does is try to walk
swirvenirvin 25 Posted April 19, 2008 I won a bet Magglio Ordonez (Tigers) Will He Record a RBI - Must Start Yes No 04/18/08(19:05 ET) Yes +

Could you possible castrate Ordonez any worse?
yostevo 0 Posted April 19, 2008 Man o man when is Todd Jones going to take a ride on the Borowski train outta here. I don't care if he gets saves, sooner or later he's going to cost us games that matter big time. Good win though. It was big to bounce back after such a fugly loss. broussard 0 Posted April 20, 2008 One of the pitchers from their AA affiliate is from DeRidder. Josh Rainwater. Pitched as fast as 98 in high school. They slowed him down and had him work on his control. Seems to be doing ok. 2-1 w/ < 2.0 era right now. We'll see how it goes. Good kid. When he comes home during the off season he's very accessible. Lionsjunkie 1 Posted April 20, 2008 Do we have ONE Quality Start I know Verlander doesn't have any and I'm sure Bondo can't have one ETA...Kenny Rogers is the only opening day SP that has a QS and he did it in his 1st start
kilroy69 994 Posted April 20, 2008 I say move inge to the SP role. He can do pretty much anything and he can't do any worse that these useless focks we have pitching for us now.
