Never tried to be tough. I've stated my opinion MANY times about him. 5 years ago this place was full of hilarity, political DISCUSSION and a pretty good time. People showed who they were and got to know one another. Well, lets slow down here.... Gays may not be evil, its natural selection in reaction to planetary overpopulation. I am sketpical of this 'gay movement' that attempts to teach children about how awesome it is to be gay before they are emotionally ready to deal with sexuality. (I went to a liberal grade school and highschool, and frankly the brainwashing is pretty ridiculous.)

I know you weren't, I was just pointing out that it isn't a fait accompli. Actually I had a good upbringing in general; most importantly, I was taught to think.

 

My wife and I are fairly conservative in our politics, her moreso than me. Our kids' teachers are fairly liberal, which isn't surprising. Often they'll come home from school and mention some liberal dogma they heard at school. I will generally provide a conservative counterexample, but I'm very careful not to say "I'm right and they are wrong," but rather try to emphasize that there are two sides to every story.
