Day Old Doughnut 0 Posted September 22, 2008 really? Invincible? seriously?? Even if they escape today Romo will choke when pressure sets in Rocket is being sarcastic. He's a bitter Pats fan and is trying, although in a very feeble attempt, to mock the questions that were asked of his choking Pats from last year.

We went 16-0, I'm asking if the Boys are good enough to run the regular season table? The playoffs are a whole different season in itself. I think it's a legitimate ? Day Old Doughnut 0 Posted September 22, 2008 Your comment of "invincible" is what the Pats fans were saying last year. Try again, bitter Pats fan.
NewbieJr 541 Posted September 22, 2008 Would it even matter? Didn't we just learn how unimportant going 16-0 is if you can't win when it matters? I'm sure they'd much rather go 14-2 and win a championship.
tubby_mcgee 701 Posted September 22, 2008 They look invincible. I'm one of the biggest Cowboys fans on here....and there is no focking way. They'll lose prolly like 4 if I had to guess. And...I doubt the seriousness of the question.
CheeseCake 0 Posted September 22, 2008 They do have a chance, albeit a very, very small one. The Giants are doing better than expected, and the Cowboys/girls play them twice during the regular season. I'd think NYG would win at least one of them.
tubby_mcgee 701 Posted September 22, 2008 really? Invincible? seriously?? Even if they escape today Romo will choke when pressure sets in Seriously. How did he choke as QB? Seattle? He was the holder. But okay, whatever...he choked. 0-1 (not bad for your first year as starter---getting your team to playoffs) Last year? Where did he choke...that LOST them the game? Did you mean Crayton's dropped ball or Owens dropped ball? Or was it when Crayton pulled up on a route where the ball was dead on for a TD? 0-2? Hmm okay. 2 years playing, 2 playoff appearances? That's really not that bad. What the heck...he guided them to victory tonight vs. a 2-0 Packers. Did the same thing last week vs. and undefeated Eagles team. Right?
stoner 0 Posted September 22, 2008 The answer is no. They are damn good, no doubt about it, but they will not run the table. But with that said, they probably won't lose more than 1 or 2 this year barring injury. I'm not anywhere a D fan, but when a team is good I'll gve them their praise. bpork 0 Posted September 22, 2008 16-0 is asking a lot...even for last years Pats who squeaked by a few games -- they have to play all the NFC east teams twice...they should lose at least one of those games
Mephisto 15 Posted September 22, 2008 They have NO SHOT at going 16-0. Romo makes way too many dumb, dumb mistakes that will catch up to him eventually. You won't see 16-0 for another 50-years or so.

I'm gonna guess he choked when throwing into triple coverage at the end of the Giants game. And really, he needed to not be the holder in order to choke in the Seattle game? You guys were/are all over McNabb about past transgressions in the playoffs, y'all jumped on Favre when he threw multiple picks in the playoffs. Yet you can't take Romo's nutz out of your mouth long enough to admit he's come up short the past two years?

Savage Beast 1 Posted September 22, 2008 If Dallas was playing in the NFC West division, I might say yes. But Dallas is in the best division in the NFL, the NFC East, and no way they run the table in their divisional games.
South Beach 0 Posted September 22, 2008 They will lay a few eggs this season which will prompt scores of over-reaction threads from the haters. No biggie - it all comes down to winning in the playoffs. We'll have to wait and see what happens in Dec / Jan. They have to prove it when it counts and everyone knows it. Until then, there is not much to talk about one way or the other... just enjoy the seaosn gents!

moviedude25 0 Posted September 22, 2008 No way. Couple of reasons why I think this: 1. The Cowboys are part of the toughest devision in football, if nothing else they are bound to lay an egg after a big game along the way 2. The Pats proved what good 16-0 is when they got big heads and huge egos and then lost the game that counted. I don't see the Cowboys falling for that 3. The Cowboys have very little depth at WR and QB. If Romo gets hurt there season is over. If TO gets hurt there season is over. At least with RB they have a capable backup. One or two injuries and that offense is done

If the role were reversed, and it was McNabb, your sorry azz would be the first one to comment that "McPuke can't win a SB for Philthy". You're a homer. Just admit it. Joey Gladstone 33 Posted September 22, 2008 3 reasons why they won't go 16-0 1. Their defense 2. Romo 3. Wade Phillips 15-1 is a slight possibility. If I was to put mony on it, I'd say 13-3.

There's nothing left of this horse's carcass. Until the playoffs roll around, Cowboys fans can do nothing to convince rational people that Romo isn't an overrated choke-artist with flashy regular season stats. If he can get the Boys to the NFC chamionship game I'll ease up. I can name 7 QB's who would be locks to win the Superbowl with Romo's supporting cast this season as well as several other guys who would have just as much chance as Romo. Let me know if you want the complete list
