Let Da Big Dog Eat 38 Posted January 15, 2009 Was thinking the exact same thing. Anybody remember the one that crashed in the river - I want to say around Washington DC? Been years ago. I worked in DC at the time and lived in Va. Huge snow storm. Took me 7 1/2 hrs to get home as da gubmit and sll business's closed at abut the same time. This caused a MASSIVE traffic jam in addition to the issues with the 14th st bridge and the plane. Cars were abandoned all over the GW Parkway (no shoulder). And, no, I didn't jump in the water and save anyone.
kutulu 1,561 Posted January 15, 2009 There are reports that a bird strike may have caused the plane to go down, meaning a bird may have entered the engine, causing a malfunction. There is no word on injuries. I'm guessing that bird got focked up.

Sho Nuff 720 Posted January 16, 2009 I bet it involved a 5 pound sack of potatoes he scored for 47 cents. And then he made his family recipe potato salad with pickle juice.

Giants Fan 85 Posted January 16, 2009 Never .... EVER fly US Air. itsatip If there was a less than coach level of flying .... that'd be US Air. No soda, no peanuts, no engine repair. As a matter of fact, I own the domain lessthancoach.com and I plan to make it all about US Airways.
