I don't think it counts, as he wasn't actually arrested. If we do count it, we're going to need to count stuff like speeding tickets also, which would send the number much higher.

Speeding tickets typically don't come with jail terms though :pointstosky: Unless you don't pay them or are charged with reckless driving etc in addition. I think anything that could potentially land a guy in jail, at least on the basis of the charge alone, should count.

#4 officially on the list - Thanks DaveJ and Vikes - Now we are rolling!

Note: Brush in's with the law can only count if there was an official arrest

Reggie just got a little excited when he heard that the Gov't. was letting states dictate marijuana laws. :dunno:

It was a celebration doobie.

Pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge. Sentenced to three years of probation and 80 hours of community service.

Marshawn Lynch..probation could get him in more trouble the next few years..something to watch for.

Gerald Sensabaugh was arrested as recently as February

Newly signed safety Gerald Sensabaugh has been arrested a few times, most recently in February for driving with a suspended license.

One arrest occurred because he was carrying a gun without a license and another for riding his motorcycle dangerously.

Oh yeah, he's a great player.

I'm sure the Cowboys know all about his arrests.

There's nothing wrong with giving a guy a second-chance, the Cowboys are famous for that, but maybe secondary coach Dave Campo and new special teams coach Joe DeCamills did some vouching for Sensabaugh since they coached him in Jacksonville.

We know Jack Del Rio has a good relationship with Jerry Jones, so maybe he put in a good word for Sensabaugh, even though the Jags coach didn't want the player because of too many off the field issues.

The signing could mean the end of Keith Davis. Sensabaugh plays both safety spots and was pretty good on special teams.

Haynesworth indicted on traffic charges

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3974042

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has been indicted on two misdemeanor traffic charges in Tennessee after an accident that seriously injured another driver.

District Attorney Kim Helper says Haynesworth faces charges of reckless driving and having expired registration.

Haynesworth, a former Titan who signed with the Redskins last month, was released after surrendering Wednesday. Maximum punishment is six months in jail and a $500 fine on the reckless driving charge and 30 days and a $50 fine for the other charge.

The charges come from a Dec. 13 incident in which police say Haynesworth was trying to pass another driver, who crashed into a concrete median.

Haynesworth's agent didn't immediately respond to an e-mail seeking comment

This may not count. Not certain about the rules here.

Plaxico Scores 4 Tickets from Cops -- In One Day

Plaxico Burress had another run-in with cops earlier this month -- but this time, the only person packing heat was the guy holding the badge.

Plaxico racked up four separate violations ... at the same time ... when Florida cops pulled over the NY Giants WR's black SUV on March 1st -- speeding (60 in a 45), improper display of tags, improper lane change and for improper window tinting (too dark).

The Broward County Court has yet to set a date for Plax to appear.

TMZ.com

ETA: I guess he fails to make it because of the not being on an active roster.

He was on a roster. If he was a FA, he would have been signed by someone else already. This should definitely count. The "active roster" rule was put in to prevent guys who were there just for camp or has beens to count. Correct?

Had a similar situation last year with Darrion Scott. He was a free agent who played the year before, and he counted.

But unless I'm missing something, Plaxy didn't get arrested. :dunno:

Hmmm, since when is DEC 13 (week 15 2008 season) the off-season. This report was witheld from the public till now. He was indicted, arrested and then released from jail on wednesday of this week. I dont see this on last years "Crime Spree" by NFL players.

Just wondering.....

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/foot...s.ap/index.html

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) -- Officials in Newport News, Va., say Kansas City Chiefs cornerback David Thurman Macklin has been arrested on a drunken driving charge.

Officials at the city jail and traffic court said Macklin was arrested early Friday. He also was charged with having an illegally tinted window.

Court and jail officials did not know if the 30-year-old NFL player had retained an attorney.

Macklin attended high school in Newport News and joined the Chiefs in November after he was released by St. Louis. He also has played for Indianapolis and Washington.

It's not, that's what I was saying.

Was he ever actually arrested, or did he just show up to court? Two different things.

He didn't show up on last year's list because the list ends once the season starts.

Albert Haynesworth indicted

http://www.tennessean.com/article/20090313/NEWS03/903130364

[snip]

Haynesworth, 27, who recently signed a $100 million contract to play for the Washington Redskins, is charged with reckless driving and driving a vehicle with expired registration. A Williamson County grand jury indicted Haynesworth on the misdemeanor counts Monday.

Haynesworth went to the Brentwood Police Department on Wednesday and was taken to the Williamson County jail, where he stayed for less than an hour before posting a $1,000 bond and being released.

Haynesworth's new seven-year contract makes him the highest paid defensive player in NFL history. He faces a maximum punishment of six months and a $500 fine for reckless driving and 30 days and a $50 fine for driving with an expired registration.

It is not immediately known if the indictment could lead to punishment for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

Damn, I'm out a day and the place goes crazy - jeez

Haynesworth - Yes or No? I'm leaning more towards the YES. Charged with reckless driving - Indicted in front of a Grand Jury - misdemeanor - jail + paid bond - - I think this gets a yes

Donte Stallworth - not yet but on the radar - this could be serious for his future though

David Macklin - do we have a link?
