wiffleball 4,797 Posted March 9, 2009 Not even gonna bag on this one. Store boughten tomaters have absolutely zero taste. And the peppers will keep the bugs away. A fresh tomater sammich right from the garden is pretty durn tasty.

jocstrap 8 Posted March 10, 2009 I have the fever Sux - 75 degrees here all weekend - raked the yard, beds are ready to be planted. I have a male dog who hikes his leg and acid pees on everything in the backyard. Puts out planting vegetables - and I'm not fencing off a "garden area" back there. I don't think a tomato plant would like right in the front yard center flower bed. Damn Dog I have 3 more weeks until our last freez should be gone. I'm ready man

IAMWood 6 Posted March 10, 2009 Snow peas, no focking way...blech strawberries, on the other hand..Greta idea I'll make my hetro life partner plant some tomorrow I thought I heard that strawberry plants won't produce until the second year harvest. But fresh strawberries would be worth it.
BiPolarBear 495 Posted March 10, 2009 Did corn last year...total disaster. This is the big lesson of gardening. Plant what grows easily. Don't work too hard on plants that have problems in your soil, light, etc.
