I do feel like I know better from some of you but, you boys should really take it easy. It is kinda embarassing. American Idol, come on now. You might as well be doing 'fins to left fins to the right' at a Jimmy Buffet concert wearing a hawaiian shirt with a parrot on it, standing next to some fat chick in a comboy hat wearing a tank top. It's just a step below ghey. I believe in free speech around here, but the mods should really consider censoring this one. This is also my first time opening this sanctuary of gheyness. You know afterwards that the Queen guys were begging Adam to sing with them. I don't think he would or should, but that genre is what he should do; resurrect the "rock opera" concept. He sings Mercury so effortlessly; those of you old farts like me, think back to the Mercury tribute concert at Wembley and how bad the top performers of that era sounded trying to do it. Of course, you need brilliant musicians and songwriters, minor detail but if they could, wow, he could have a serious impact on music. Kris will be singing lounges within a few years. Unless he goes country, he might have a decent career there. Even he said "Adam deserves this." I thought Kris sounded great with Urban. You've never heard of him? He's one of the few country singers that I can stand. Also, it as perfect putting Adam with Kiss...h0mos that love to wear makeup, costumes and have special effects to distract from their totally overrated music. I was being facetious; I've heard of Urban, altho I'm not familiar with his music. Liked that song well enough, and Kris sounded fine. That wasn't my point; mine was more of stage presence. KSB2424 3,148 Posted May 21, 2009 My thoughts/observations. 1. Fergie's ass is something special. Real special. Too bad her face looks like a lion that has been hit by truck. 2. If this was a contest of the best singer / stage presence / most interesting then Adam wins hands down. But it is not. American's (mostly kids and old people) vote and Kris appeals to a broader spectrum. 3. There were some heavy hitters performing. Pretty cool and a little unexpected to me. 4. Kara's got a nice little body going on. Bikini Girl is fugly. I'm not sure where she is from but it has to be California. Fake tan, fake cans, fake everything. Not to mention that gyrating of her face when she attempts to sing. :puke: 5. How does the blind dude run around like he does in those group performances. No, but thats such a shocker for me since everyone has been hyping Adam since the beginning of the top 36. And Kris has only been consistently above average the whole show. Got there 10 minutes late cause of all the traffic for the tryouts for Season 9 held at Gillette Stadium Anyway, went out side for our break just in time for the announcer to introduce Ryan Seacreast..and then for Seacrest to open up the event ending it with "Your Season 9 of American Idol. (or words to that effect). Also, this girl I work with at the part time job was over there for tryouts. 27, kind of cute, little A/Bs (.)(.) Heard one original, song she did on a CD. Not bad...kind of a cross between the Heart chick and Amy Lee. Don't think she really has a chance, but if she makes it on camera, I'll point her out when the next season rolls around.
