Surprisingly, I thought Anoop gave the best performance of the night. Tier 1 1 (Last Week: 1). Adam – I really want to see the total votes for everyone. How much do you want to bet that Adam has more votes than all 6 of the other fockers combined? Tier 2 - For the record, I feel like any of these 3 could be sent home as well. No one really has an edge over everyone else. 2 (3). Allison – Anyone else getting sick of her same freakin voice every week? 3 (2). Gokey – Bad performance, emotional, but bad. Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get to the top 2 if he keeps singing like that. 4 (4). Kris – Another boring performance. But he's still stuck in tier 2 with Allison and Gokey. The first one out of those 3 to kill a song will end up 2nd place to Adam. Tier 3 5 (6). Anoopy –IMO the best performance of the night. Actually was perfectly in tune and emotional. Brian Adams ftw right? How much longer is he going to sing slow songs before people realize that he butchers every fast song he sings. 6 (5). Matt – BAD performance. QT actually gave him some great advice to pronounce his lyrics better. And he didn't do that. Mad fail. I really hope the guy leaves soon. 7 (7). Lil – PLEASE send her off. QT was right again. QT was 1 of the only celebs to come in and tell people what he liked or didnt..changed some approaches..others just say..yeah..i like it..and the performance is soo bad that you know lyle lovett didnt even pay attention.. i thought this was adams 2nd worst performance...his act is soooo old...but simon had a point..half will love it..half will hate it..and i hated it...he just yells and does that yell..hes like the gay captain caveman ... The half that would hate it don't watch American Idol..besides you I guess. And the only reason his act is old, is because he's head and shoulders above everyone else. The Tiger Woods of Idol. Sho Nuff 720 Posted April 15, 2009 This week was pretty bad outside of Adam. 1. Adam...I actually liked it this week. Its still theatrical but finally the screeching fit into the song. I thought it was a very good version if he can just tone down the theatrical type performing. 2. Danny...not great, but the kid can sing very well. I actually think he is coasting right now and not trying to do too much, thinking if he gets voted out the judges will save him. If the dialidol site I hear about is correct though, he kills every week and is ahead of Matt in the voting even when he is a bit off. I think its going to be he and Adam in the finals unless the rest of the country decides they don't want a "guy" like Adam in it...which is possible that he ends up out 3rd or so for Allison to maybe take on Danny. 3. Anoop...still a boring ballad with a straight up version of the song. But he has a very good voice. 4. Allison...by default...Im not sure what Simon was listening to...but it was really not that good. Early on in the lower parts of the song, it was actually pretty bad. 5. Matt...not good...but he still has some talent and can do things with a song. If he gets voted out, we may see the save. I think the judges like him and know he and Allison are really the only ones who may be able to challenge Danny later (I don't think any of them are as talented as Adam though). 6. Kris...the first part of the song was downright terrible. If you are going to do something obscure, you better nail it...and he did not do that. Just a boring ho hum rest of the song too. 7. He has Freddy Mercury/Steven Tyler type written all over him. Not any kind of hip hop/R&B type pop crap. I think he is much more of a rock type guy than a Timberlake/Usher. Allison could be...but she better do better than she did last night. Gokey can sing...I just don't see what type of music he would make after this. Allison is only 16. She needs a little work, but she certainly has a set of pipes on her. She could be an Ann Wilson (from Heart) type. Anoop will fall off the face of the earth shortly after he's eliminated. Matt and Kris are both talented (both play piano and Kris also plays guitar). If they are also songwriters, they have an outside chance of having a career in music. Lil will either disappear, or someone like P Diddy will sign her and she will have some hits. While her voice isn't American Idol-good, it's certainly as good as Ciarra, Rihanna, or whoever the next chick is that the R&B producers decide to make a star. Keep in mind that the Jay Z's and Will.i.am's of the world are always looking to have the next big thing. Lil Rounds comes with pre-exposure. That's a good thing. Maybe I should clarify my comments a bit. His VOICE is head and shoulders above the rest. I'm sure peeps don't dig his look, or his antics, or the unique spin he puts on songs...but the quality of his voice is unmatched in the history of idol. I think he has had 3 albums (that includes a Christmas one) and they have done pretty well (my wife and mother are fans of his). Plus the stint on Broadway in Spamalot. I think he has done well for himself and like you said, did not need to win it to get there. Id say he probably did better than Rueben did or will do.
