NewbieJr 541 Posted May 8, 2009 Surprise, surprise...Manny thought that HCG was okay under baseball rules. FYI, HCG is not an oral drug. It can't even be injected as is. It comes in vials which you have to add bacteriostatic water to in order to reconstitute it. Once it's reconstituted, it is put into small syringes and injected under the skin of your belly, within 6" of your navel. It can't be shipped already reconstituted. Once you reconstitute it, it must be kept refridgerator and is only good for 2 or 3 weeks. The stuff is injected like insulin. There is no way that Manny thought he was doing something legal. What's with the Boston-area and their cheating? Does Bellichick hold seminars up there?

The media just focused on the HCG angle. heck you even replied to it. skip breakfast this morning? GettnHuge May 8 2009, 01:23 PM Post #9 Manram didn't test positive for HCG, he tested positive for an abnormally high test level that was created by artificial means. HCG is taken by these guys when they come off their cycle and their test levels are abnormally low, and helps thebody get back to normal. They found out about the HCG later on. so yea, he was juicing GettnHuge May 8 2009, 02:30 PM However, testing by Major League Baseball showed that Ramirez had testosterone in his body that was not natural and came from an artificial source, two people with knowledge of the case told ESPN's Mark Fainaru-Wada and T.J. Quinn. The sources said that in addition to the artificial testosterone, Ramirez was identified as using the female fertility drug human chorionic gonadotropin, or hCG. The sources said Ramirez was suspended for using hCG because baseball had documentation to prove his use of the drug. A Major League Baseball source said Ramirez's representatives indicated they would fight a suspension for using artificial testosterone. These are two sep things. HCG helps out your natural test levels

I know, but ESPN reported this morning that Manny did not test for any HCG in his sytem. That was his 'BS coverup attempt'. They all have one. S. Merriman had the 'something must have been in my supplements'. Before they fall on teh sword, they all try something to make them look a little bit less like an actual cheater.
