G-String 0 Posted August 24, 2010 Which QB would you rather have this year and why? My settings are 1pt every 50 yards and all TD's 6pts.
Ondawa 0 Posted August 24, 2010 I like Romo. Dallas should be a potent offense, like Houston but I think more weapons are in Dallas. I know you cannot predict injuries but Schaub has had them....will Daniels be healthy? A solid #2 WR besides Andre the Beast?
PackYourNut 47 Posted August 24, 2010 It's a toss up. However, Dallas's line needs to shape up or Romo will get killed. Small edge to Schaub in a yardage heavy league.

FeelingMN 273 Posted August 24, 2010 I think they're pretty similar, but I'll go with Schaub. So far Dallas has had trouble protecting Romo....that's not a good thing in the preseason.
PackYourNut 47 Posted August 24, 2010 This is a TD-heavy league. Yep, which is why I say it's a toss up. If it was yardage heavy, then a small edge to Schaub.

sirensong 111 Posted August 24, 2010 It's a toss up. However, Dallas's line needs to shape up or Romo will get killed. Small edge to Schaub in a yardage heavy league. remember, in his first two seasons as a starter, romo demonstrated that he can be very productive fantasy-wise in the absence of solid protection. his play style has changed somewhat, and better protection will help, but he's in his element when the play breaks down. Joey Gladstone 33 Posted August 24, 2010 I was faced with this decision during my draft and went Romo. The state of the Dallas offensive line worries me some, But Schaub is always a threat to miss 5 games. Edge goes to Romo.
onejayhawk 3 Posted August 24, 2010 No Brainer. Dallas has a run oriented offense, with Barber, Felix and Choice. Houston has a pass oriented offense with Slaton and Foster. On the field you might want Romo, but in fantasy, it is Schaub by a mile. J

How is that a run oriented offense?
Cstriker 2 Posted August 24, 2010 I picked romo, but i am not so sure after the OL lost 2 starters. I picked Roethlisberger hoping he is upto speed by week 6 or 7 as a backup

On the field you might want Romo, but in fantasy, it is Schaub by a mile. J Dallas may have a better group of players running the ball, but calling their offense "run oriented" is flat out wrong---half the league ran the ball more frequently than Dallas did, and, anyone who follows the Cowboys also knows that many of the rushing plays that do get called come once the game has been decided and they are trying to run clock...Dallas ran the ball exactly 11 times more than Houston did last season, or less than one carry more per game...Both teams like to air it out and, considering that last season was the first one that Schaub has not been hurt, I say give me the guy who has produced more than one good season in his career.... Raider 84 29 Posted August 24, 2010 Schaub looks extremely sharp so far. He also has A. Johnson. I'd take Schaub over Romo, but it would surprise me to see Romo have just as good if not better stats.

Matt Mueller 148 Posted August 26, 2010 I kind of panic picked Romo over Shaub yesterday and now I'm second guessing my pick. Houston lead the league in passing attempts, yardage and Shaub was the least sacked QB behind Manning and Brady. Owens Daniels may return to health. Jacoby Jones is gonna get more work. Heck even Kevin Walter was hurt last year and should be back. For Romo, he had a career low in ints and was great down the stretch once Austin caught fire. Adding Dez Bryant may give him his best receivers to work with ever. Preseason: Shaub is looking great. Romo is barely hanging on. My only real difference maker at this point is that Dallas can win with defense and or/running the ball. Can anyone see Houston winning a game in which they don't through, early, often and late? Barring injury I like Shaub over Romo. Anyone care to chime in. In the end it might be a wash but picking the right player between similarly tiered players often makes all the difference. rebooters 1 Posted August 26, 2010 romo may be a choke artist in the real playoffs but he is nice during the fantasy season...especially while the cowboys are fighting for that playoff spot. basically, romo has more weapons to go to and a more well rounded team. i actually have romo as 4th fantasy qb right behind manning.
