Friend of mine got killed. Found out yesterday.

Weird focking situation. Nobody is REALLY sure what happend. Young guy, 2 kids he loved a lot, disabled vet. His ex wife was over in the Phillipines, and he was actually collecting child support from HER. He had full custody of the kids, I guess she beat one of the kids up one time, and kinda didn't give a shiat. He used to tell me about what a biatch she was. Then all of a sudden, things got better. He was going over to the Phillipines to visit with her, and they were gonna get re-married.

 

2 days later he's dead. Motorcycle accident.

 

Uhhh .... he didn't know how to ride a motorcycle, his family has no memory of him saying "I'm gonna rent a motorcycle while I'm over there" or anything like that. Both his brothers are Iraq vets. They are all totally suspicious of the situation.

 

Sounds shady. Not sure anything can be done. Totally, really focking sad though. I know his brother too, and I know exactly what he's going through.

 

The hardest thing I have ever had to do, was tell my Mom that my brother was dead. I didn't waste any time thinking about what I was going to say, I just called her, and I was crying, and I told her to sit down, and I had "Really bad news." and then I said, "Tad killed himself." and I heard her wail and cry, "No! No! No!" on the other end of the phone.

 

And her first instinct was that maybe someone else had shot him ... but once we read his notes (there was more than one), it was all pretty clear. I think it's a natural reaction to seek to blame someone else. Maybe ... it was just a motorcycle accident. We may never know for sure.

This is a guy I play poker with, so not like a REALLY good buddy I have known forever, but he was one of the guys I actually enjoyed talking too at the casino. And he had a focked up back, worse than mine, so we would talk about that kinda stuff. How focking impossible it is to get disability.

I wish it wasn't. His brother just got back from Iraq like 2 weeks ago.

 

I guess it's good that he got to see him before he died. So focking weird though. Particularly for the Mom. All three of her sons join the military, 2 of them go over to Iraq, and come back safe .... and then this happens.

I asked the Mom if he was scraped up, and she said that the chick said he was "bruised" and when the Mom asked where, she said, "I don't know." So that sounded really sketchy, but I'm getting this all, filtered through grieving family members. So, I really don't know.

As I have said before, there were a lot of heroes on 9/11. A lot of them, that will never be mentioned in the record books. The guys that took us on their ferry boats, from Chelsea Piers to Weehawken and wouldn't accept any money. The guys that gave me water while I was walking to Hoboken.

 

They might not have saved any lives ... but they helped the people that were survivors. That was pretty much the best you could do that day. I was turned away from Saint Vincents, wanting to give blood. A lot of people were.

It was pretty amazing, how many people that showed up at Saint Vincents, and how prepared they were to take in hundreds of injured people .... but sadly they never came. A few did, but not very many. You either made it, or you didn't, for the most part.

 

But in the weeks after, people including myself, continued to come out and give blood. And we still saved a lot of lives. Maybe it was blood for people that were in a car accident on Semptember 12th, but people felt like they had to do something.

GF, is this going to happen??? I realize it is important to find out what happened, but really, this is the biggest issue in this if she is this bad. If she is capable of beating her own children, then she is likely capable of damn near anything.

 

As far as the wreck. She could have had one of her friends chase this guy with a gun until he lost it, since he was not an experienced rider. Hell, even an experienced rider might wreak when being chased by someone with a gun, or another car even, with a gun turret on top.
