andaval 0 Posted September 2, 2010 I drafted 11/12, I'm seeing pretty similar teams (no-PPR league, all TDs worth 6 pts). We only have 4 bench spots this year (not my idea), so the draft got a little weird. Kolb, Rothlisberger Mathews, Best, Stewart, Bradshaw Moss, Colston, Sims-Walker, Aromashadu Celek Graham Chargers I feel OK about my team. I tried to have good backups for Kolb, Mathews and Best in case they don't perform as I expect and feel like I might be ok there. I really had to be careful about bye weeks with only 4 bench spots. ONe guy wasn't and ended up with all 3 WRs with the same bye week, and none on his bench. I really don't like drafting at the ends, because when a player you like is going later than expected, he never makes it all the way to you (Roddy White went 1 pick before Colston, and Finley was like the 5th TE drafted but the whole TE run started after my 4th round pick. 3 players from my team last year were drafted before my first pick (Rodgers, Turner and Rice), too bad I can't get people to do a keeper league. PATSSOX 22 Posted September 2, 2010 I just finished a 12 team draft from the 12 hole and my team sucks. Its 6 pts for TDs for everyone and NON PPR. (round drafted) QB-Romo(4) RB-Ryan Mathews(1) RB-Pierre Thomas(3) WR-Randy Moss(2) WR-Malcom Floyd(8) Flex-LT(6) TE-Jermichael Finley(5) K-waiver DEF-Eagles(12) BENCH- QB-Cutler(9) RB-Donald Brown(7), Ringor(11), Snelling(13), Fred Taylor(14) WR-Santana Moss(10), Roy Williams(16) I screwed up and should not have taken Romo in the 4th i dont think. It was him or Arian Foster and i really need Foster now. Dont like LT as my Flex at all and have NO good RB's on bench.

mr_bungalow 1 Posted September 2, 2010 12 spot. start 3 WR, 2 RB, TE, QB, K, D. Standard yahoo scoring (4 pts passing td), non-ppr. Not super happy with the team but we'll see. I didn't realize that I took three NYG players until after I had said Nicks out loud. Also wish I had taken a QB earlier. I thought one of Kolb/Flacco/Palmer/Cutler would be there when it came back to me at the 7/8 turn. Rodgers, Brees, Manning all went in the first round. Frank Gore dropped to 12. QB: Eli Manning (7) (best QB available at the end of the 7th round.. wtf?) RB: Frank Gore (1) Addai (5) Forsett (8) Tim Hightower (9) Donald Brown (10) Huggins (14) WR: Miles Austin (2) Steve Smith (NYG) (3) Ochocinco (4) Hakeem Nicks (6) SLEEPER PICK (12) TE: Zach Miller (11) D: NE Patriots (13) K: who cares (15)

Love your backs, WR, and TE of course. Why did someone not take Romo and i would not have had to draft him. Reality 3,134 Posted September 2, 2010 I draft 12 this coming Sunday. People are really on the Mathews bandwagon @ 12 it seems. Don't think I can do it & there is no possible way I am going Green & Mathews @ the turn. I am in a ppr so that changes things obviously.

Don't think I can do it & there is no possible way I am going Green & Mathews @ the turn. I am in a ppr so that changes things obviously. i understand not doing it. My thoughts were those were the last two stud backs that will get a ton of carries each, and both play on good offenses. After them they get reaaaallll sketchy. GobbleDog 1,018 Posted September 2, 2010 1. QB A Rodgers - half pt per completion makes elite QBs valuable. When in Rome... 2. WR R Wayne - same decision for all #12 drafters.... elite WR or one of those leftover RBs (ie mendhall, deangelo, mathews)? I made my decision. 3. RB M Forte - No brainer... looking for any good RB. 4. WR B Marshall - planned on another RB (Stewart, Wells, Brown, etc), but Marshall in the 3/4th round? Fantasy football gods would curse me for passing that up. 5. RB J Best - ok, time to pay the piper for drafting all those QB's and WRs and bucking stud RB theory. 6. RB F Jones - still paying the piper... 7. RB J Forsett - still paying... 8. WR M Floyd - cheat-sheet ranked him high, whoever the hell he is. etc... Like team, don't love it. Starting half-ass RB's means relying on those big name QB/WRs. If they don't pan out... no playoffs, no championship, no glory. See ya next year loser! Don't think I can do it & there is no possible way I am going Green & Mathews @ the turn. I am in a ppr so that changes things obviously. Wish I would have taken my own advice. Took Mathews and missed the playoffs on tie breakers. Anybody who took both Mathews and Green prob had a real rough year.
Matt Mueller 148 Posted December 9, 2010 I drafted out of 11 but I figured that was close enough. 1. Peyton: Took over Brees 2. Roddy White: Took as the 3rd receiver after Johnson/Moss 3. Arian Foster: Highest upside running back on the board. I took a 'reach.' 4. Matt Forte: Need rbs...liked his possibility of a bounce back year 5. Joe Addai: Solid flex play when healthy 6. Owens: I thought he would be the #1. This paid off 7. Mike Wallace: I had to wait out Ben's return but it paid off 8. Tony Gonzalez: I need a TE... ** Throughout the season I was able to add Fred Jackson and Jacob Tamme, so they are starting over Addai and Gonzalez currenlty. The rest of my line up is pretty set. #1 in points. #1 Record.

GobbleDog 1,018 Posted December 10, 2010 Wish I would have taken my own advice. Took Mathews and missed the playoffs on tie breakers. Anybody who took both Mathews and Green prob had a real rough year. I think RB Stud Theory is ***officially dead***. The NFL has morphed into a passing dominated league and teams full of rbbc. I'd be weary to ever draft RB-RB again. ESPECIALLY with a late round pick.

Patriotsfatboy1 1,433 Posted December 10, 2010 If this is a first place team in a 14-Teamer, it tells me one thing: The Draft means nothing. Sad. Isn't it? I pulled up what I drafted and I was embarrassed to put it up there. I made some timely pickups off the wire and made some trades, but that was one sorry draft.
