crowes 1 Posted September 17, 2010 I was smart enough to keep Turner when he left SD and went to ATL. Last year I wrangled Ray from another owner before he blew up.... and this year I was lucky enough to draft Foster. The way I see it, there is a guy on a roster out there .... I'm not gonna say his name.... BERNARD ScOTT !!!!? ... who will be next years last years ray rice much like foster is not last years Turner hopefully, but the year before that's Turner. A guy who will sniff pine all year but next year become OJ Simpson 1973.... except he'll run for 3000 yds because instead of the 14 games Juice played in 73 they'll be doing like 20 next year... do the math, and then fudge it a little to make it 3000 because it just sounds cool. mobb_deep 920 Posted September 17, 2010 Donald Brown would be my best guess at this point. Addai will be a UFA and I can't see them not atleast giving Brown a chance, before drafting another RB. Brown has the talent as a runner. He just needs to work on pass protection (which is obviously huge in the Indy offense).

YoMamasBreathStinks 0 Posted September 18, 2010 Dude - how do you know Foster is this years Foster??? 1 week, man.... 1 week. Thank You ###### retards think because the chump had a great game against a defenseless team that he is the next coming, my mother could have ran for a deuce and at least 2 tds against that peewee lineup, and she hasn't had breath in her lungs for 6 years. De Novo 0 Posted September 18, 2010 Too early, but Bernard Scott is a candidate. Starks in Green Bay is a longer shot candidate (he fits the 2nd year bill that Rice and Foster have). For what it's worth, I think Slaton was Rice the year before. Not Turner.
De Novo 0 Posted September 18, 2010 Dude - how do you know Foster is this years Foster??? 1 week, man.... 1 week. Unless he gets injured, he will be. He's a near-lock for 1,500 yards if he stays healthy.

Losers I think we found a couple of people who got burned by Foster this week. He's like the Yankees of fantasy footbal...if you have him, you love him, if you don't have him, you have to bash his success. The guy had 2 great games to end the year last year, had a good pre-season and he justified his hype in week 1. I don't care how bad a defense is, 231 yards and 3 TDs speaks for itself. Now, to get back to the actual question. I kinda think it's too early to predict next years diamond in the rough. I like the Scott prediction but someone else could emerge over the last 1/4 of the season.
YoMamasBreathStinks 0 Posted September 18, 2010 Jerome Harrison did pretty well at the end of last year too if IIRC, I don't see folks flocking to his jock...........must have Gerbils or sumtin'
The Moz 69 Posted September 18, 2010 prediction Arian Foster is a Barry Foster clone and has 1 great year then a total dud. If I owend him in dynasty I would after this year.

Smileseers 54 Posted September 18, 2010 I'll be the fool in the corner saying Kareem Huggins. I do not think that it is going to take a Caddy injury to open the door for this kid. IMO Tampa gave Earnest Graham an opportunity vs Cleveland last week to prove that he's the #2 RB, and he failed. 6 rushes for 10 yards for a 1.7 average, 1 rec for 8 yards. Zero TDs. The fumble in that short of a work load was the nail in the coffin. Caddy had 22 rushes for 75 yards for a 3.4 average, 2 rec for 23 yards. Zero TDs. Against fricken' Cleveland. Caddy now reminds me of Edgerrin James after he blew out his knee. Just not the same player. Tampa is playing all of the young talent, as a group, that they have on offense at the skill positions. Kareem fits into that plan better than any other RB on the roster. Caddy is not taking the Bucs anywhere, neither now nor in the future. The RB position just seems ripe for the taking in Tampa. He had one great game guys, lets not give him the title of king yet. If he rushes for over 125 the next couple games I will be drinkin his kool aid. Look for teams to start keying in on him more and Dre Johnson to shine...

So if you guys want to believe he had one good game out of nowhere, then you're not really paying attention.

Just because you say it doesn't make it so. Caddy will be fine. His knee has held up strong. He's only 28. And it is the Bucs line. Throwing out his YPC as a way to validate your argument doesn't work for me. The coach loves him. The locker room loves him. Don't kick the tires on Huggy bear just yet. The Caddy stil has good years on him...

To be fair, a "Foster" like upswing means a player most FF geeks have overlooked. I challenge your assertion that Ray RIce and Turner were anything like what has happened to Foster. He was drafted closer to Mr Irrelevent than Mr McFadden so that kind of rise to stardom is completely different than the others. Rice was expected to be the future in Baltimore. Turner had become too much for San Diego to keep with LT on the payroll....big differences to a scrub getting a chance due to injuries and innefectiveness ahead of him. Earnest Graham would be a better comparison to Foster. In this light, would agree with other posters that Keiland Williams or Kareem Huggins are of this ilk. To our definition..someone we all know of since he was a freshman at OSU or USC or Texas and was drafted highly.. I will be betting on Ben Tate as next years Foster.. In 3 career starts, this dude has like 450 yards and 6 TDs. There are some people who overreact to a player's performance and others who don't react soon enough. The latter can be more dangerous to your fantasy prospects. Foster is legit and if he stays healthy he's a near lock for a top 5 season.
