nowhere did i say the officiating was why the lions lost. but the officiating in the nfl has been atrocious for quite some time and *some* games HAVE been decided by the officiating.

 

and there is certainly a double standard when it comes to hitting qbs right now. that was quite evident in today's game.

several days and several pages ago i said the team that controlled the clock and didn't turn the ball over would win. well, the lions did control the clock effectively in the first half--but they didn't capitalize and they did turn the ball over. a losing recipe. suh's penalty was the icing on the cake.

 

as for the officiating, you are correct. as if the packers need help from the refs. most of the calls that kept key drives alive were iffy at best.

 

as for stafford's three interceptions, only the 2nd one was really a bad play on his part. the first was a deflection. woodson's was just woodson making a great play and simply robbing pettigrew of the ball.

 

be thankful you don't live where you can see most of the packer home games. the homey calls at lambeau by the refs are beyond legendary.

Few things here that are funny.

-not the same as Matthews, though I agree it was a bad call...the appearance that it could have been leading with the helmet is what likely got the call.

-you go off about other people whining...yet all you have done today is whine about the calls in this game and the last (btw...the calls last week were legit...but not stopping you from just being a whiny little tool).

The roughing only offset a bogus call of offensive PI.

The other questionable one was on the PI call in the endzone...but the guy twice grabbed Jennings' jersey...its going to get called every time.
