I remember back when MTV was cool...being a kid, looking forward to the VMA's.

The best was when Pee Wee Herman came out days after his arrest for whacking off in a porno theater.

The Day the Laughter Died is a comedy double album by comedian Andrew Dice Clay, which was released in 1990. It was produced by record producer, Rick Rubin. Rubin's concept was to record an unadvertised performance in a small club, with a small crowd, many of which would not necessarily be fans of Clay's act. Clay chose a New York club, owned by comedian, Rodney Dangerfield, Dangerfield's, as well as to record during the holiday season. A sequel, The Day the Laughter Died,PartII was released in 1993.

The album is largely improvisational, with Clay interacting with audience over the course of over an hour and a half. The topics run the usual gamut of sex, relationships between men and women, masculinity, religion and popular culture. Raw and offensive, Clay's performance results in several members of the audience leaving the show early, some insulting him as they leave. This album is considered by many to be the best performance of Andrew Dice Clay's career, and a masterpiece of the genre.

again. not funny. if you have to swear, its not funny.

There are very few squeaky clean comedians that make me laugh. Brian Regan and Seinfeld are the only two that spring to mind.

Dice made me laugh when I was a kid, but he's a hack. Ford Fairline was a fine flick though

Dice was great.

Little boy blue...he needed the money. <---no curse, just flat out funny. No one had used nursery ryhmes for adult humor like that ever! The guy created his own brand of comedy, which is rare. Sure, he didn't have the longevity of the greats, but he made an impact and a lasting impression.

And, there is nothing wrong with swearing...WTF it's ADULT humor not Dixie riddle cups.

Old Mother Hubbard, went to the cupboard to get her poor dog a bone. But when she bent over, Rover took over....gave her a bone of his own. OH!

Little Miss Muffet,

Sat on a tuffer,

Eating her curds and whey.

Along came a spider,

Who sat down beside her,

and said...

WHAT'S IN THE BOWL B!TCH!
