Don't get butthurt cuz you are the only one dumb enough to take the post seriously, Dumbfukk.

Questioning the veracity of any your statements doesn't make anyone dumb, it's the prudent course of action with a known liar.

You are welcome.

I always enjoy the chance to point out how demwit sheeple like yourself are easily fooled.

You mean the point that I expressed in my first post, that perception is reality even if it's not necessarily true?

Thanks, I guess.

Sounds like what you are attempting with your "The law only requires them to release 2 years worth of returns. " or more famously with your Mt. Pinatubo stories.

Have a good night, short bus.

I'm guessing Mitt won't release his tax returns because they include much higher income with a lower tax rate, more offshore shelters, and possibly some huge donations to his cult. The two years he released were scrubbed - the earlier years will be more of the same. He can't let Ryan release more than two years because then voters will ask why the VP candidate is more transparent than his running mate.

Well Duh!

And focking lol at all the romtards in this thread. Claim to love America, but will vote for a guy they know uses questionable personal and professional business practices to avoid paying the very government he'll be in charge of! Romtard doesn't give a crap about America. Sure Obama blows, but you guys seriously want this f'ing doosh running the country? It doesn't bother any of you that he's a high ranking member of a cult?

Oh, that's right... you're a bunch of multi-millionaire plumbers, sales reps, cripples, early retirees and mechanics.

What are his "questionable personal practices"/

Oh, and I see you have jumped on the Reid, Titans Crazy Train of "Romney hasn't paid taxes in 10 years".

I'd like to see where you were outraged when Obama appointed tax cheat lil Timmy Geithner to run the IRS.

I just said Obama blows. Id have voted for Paul if he was on the R ticket.

Why don't you answer the question, before asking the next? Why cant we just have a grown up conversation about this?

Do you care that Romney is a Mormon?

Do you think Romney cares about the good of America?

Do you think Romney uses questionable business practices (regardless of the loop holes. Is he ethical?)

Do you care that Romney is a Mormon? Nope. Not in the least. I have said many times here I don't give a ratsass about someone's religion or stance on abortion.

Do you think Romney cares about the good of America? Yes

Do you think Romney uses questionable business practices (regardless of the loop holes. Is he ethical?)No to #1, since there has been no evidence of it. Yes to #2, since there has been no evidence to the contrary

Happy?

No evidence to the contrary? You dont find his Bain dealings the slightest bit iffy? The Son of Boss tax scheme he was involved in? The fact that he won't release his returns, when pretty much every single candidate has previously (regardless of what the "law" is)? You don't have any problems with a guy who parks money offshore to avoid paying taxes on it?

If you hate Obama thats fine. I totally get it. But to sit here and pretend you're excited about Romney, or believe he wants what's best for the country as a collective is laughable. I don't believe it. You don't believe it. Nobody believes it.

The last four years have been the best of my life. Celebrated my first born. Got a sizeable promotion at work. Bought my first home, in beautiful SoCal. Paid off my truck and the ladies Volvo. Doug Martin fell to me in the DNDL rookie draft. Obummer FTW!

How have they been to you, bachelor?

Romney says he paid at least 13% in taxes for last ten years

Greer, South Carolina (CNN) – Mitt Romney has paid no less than 13% in personal income taxes over the past ten years, he said Thursday.

The presumptive GOP nominee has faced withering criticism from Democrats over the release of his tax returns, including a charge by Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid that Romney had paid no taxes for a ten year period. Reid did not specify if those were the last ten years, or an earlier period.

Romney expressed frustration with Reid's attack at a press conference with reporters in South Carolina.

"I did go back and look at my taxes and over the past ten years I never paid less than 13%. I think the most recent year is 13.6 or something like that. I paid taxes every single year," Romney said, explaining he had gone back to check his records after being asked by a reporter about the tax rates he had paid. "Harry Reid's charge is totally false. I am sure waiting for Harry to put up who it was that told him what he says they told him – I don't believe it for a minute by the way – but every year I paid at least 13% and if you add in addition the amount that goes to charity, why, the number gets well above 20%."

Reid had told reporters an anonymous source gave him a tip. A source close to Reid later said that Reid got the information from an investor with Bain, the private equity firm Romney ran.

A spokesman for Reid, Adam Jentleson, said in a statement Thursday after Romney's press conference, "We'll believe it when we see it. Until Mitt Romney releases his tax returns, Americans will continue to wonder what he's hiding. Romney seems to think he plays by a different set of rules than every other presidential candidate for the last thirty years, all of whom lived up to the standard of transparency set by Mitt Romney's father and released their tax returns."

Well at least Romney is starting to acknowledge that the people are entitled to know something about his taxes. Hopefully he will release his returns to back up his claims.

I care about the idea that a presidential candidate should share his tax returns with the public. He shouldn't have much to hide.

Yes we know Romney is obscenely wealthy. I don't think anyone would be surprised by that. We also know that he probably took advantage of every loophole and haven for rich people that he could find, and consequently did not pay nearly the percentage of taxes that the common man pays.

So what else is there? We know that but he still won't release his tax returns. It makes you think there must be something more.

My guess is that Romney took advantage of the amnesty for hiding offshore accounts: http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox/2012/07/17/romney_s_tax_returns_is_the_2009_swiss_bank_account_amnesty_what_he_doesn_t_want_us_to_see_.html

I have no doubt he did everything he could to keep as much of his money as possible.

I guess I just don't understand why anybody cares.

Well it depends what we're talking about. If it's just that he's obscenely wealthy and doesn't pay a lot of taxes, then I agree that it isn't a big deal. It's a little unsettling because it underscores the fact that the rich play by a different (and much more favorable) set of rules in this country, but that is hardly breaking news.

Now if it's that Romney paid much less than the 13% he claims, or that he took advantage of the offshore amnesty, well that could be explosive. Taking advantage of the amnesty is basically an admission to having committed a felony prior to 2009.

Is there any evidence of your claim that he took advantage of offshore amnesty or are saying that he should have to prove himself innocent of a completely baseless accusation because he's rich?

Modern practice is to release several years of tax returns. Mitt Romney's own father started this practice, saying how important it was for voters to know about the finances of the presidential candidates. And Mitt Romney has released many years of tax returns--but only to John McCain's campaign, in secret. (Incidentally, he was not selected to be on the ticket.)

Now Mitt Romney is refusing to release his tax returns. Why? And this is costing him a political price. It has become an issue and it makes it look like he's a man with something to hide. Despite this liability, Romney has decided that it is better to take the hit for not releasing his tax returns than take whatever huge hit he would apparently take if he did release them.

So what's the hit? What could be so big? Like I said before, we all know he's extremely wealthy and we all suspect he doesn't pay nearly the tax rate that you and I do. So Romney wouldn't hardly try to hide that. It must be something else. And all I can do is speculate as to what that something else is, since Romney won't come clean and release his returns.

Pretty much. And he has complied with the laws about candidates sharing their taxes. Two years worth. If worms doesn't like the law, maybe he should try and change it instead of whining like a little biotch.

It doesn't matter what worms thinks...it's how it is collectively being perceived. maybe it shouldn't matter...fact is, many thinks it does. If the result is very close and mitt loses most will point to the 2 year's worth of tax returns and no more as a major reason why..whether it really is or not.
