Who do you have in mind? What politician should we be looking at? Who won't contribute to our debt? Who in your mind would be a politician for the people and the future of America?

This effects you less than anyone here. Your future is much shorter. Relax. Play some bridge with the Mrs.

No politicians in mind yet? No good libertarian politicians? Any opinion on good choices for our future? I figure as many political pieces you post, you surly have a couple good options we should be looking at???

I guess you are "following" me now since you responded to my post.

Ih, but you are right...I am the opposite of phurfur. I dont whine about things all day. I dont claim to be something im not.

Im not a sad old fock sitting around posting cut and paste jobs offering no opinion and running and hiding when questioned what my opinion is.

Thanks for the compliment.

You whine about posters all day, and you claim you aren't a lefty hack.

Other than those two items, you are spot on.

You wine about and follow around conservatives all day kid. Seek help

I do enjoy a good Merlot...but that has nothing to do with this board.

I don't follow anyone around anymore than you follow around those you consider lefties.

Just because you hacks continually get pounded into the dirt...doesn't mean Im following you or hate conservatives. Just means I like to mock completely blind hacks...the few of you there are here. There are plenty of decent conservatives who are not complete blind sheep. Just happens that you, phurfur, and GP are complete blind hacks as you have proven over and over again.

Well...if one of the biggest blind hacks says so...it must be true.

Only problem is the FACTS show you simply are incorrect.

But glad you tried and fluffed up your boy drobs some...I always love when you all end up doing exactly what you claim I do...always adds a nice touch.

Dude, really get help. Pen, any suggestions for a phsyc or meds for snuffy ?

You follow me in here (after making the follower comment earlier) and take a shot at me...I refute your idiotic point and respond...you cry more and act in denial of what is really going on and claim I need help?

Perhaps you should take a step back or use the neck or back pain excuse again or whatever it was.

You have again been having a few bad days being your usual hack self.

Link to these "FACTS"?

http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showuser=9885

No whining about any of them.

Id link to my voting record...but there are no records of it...and you wouldn't believe it anyway.

So...any link to support your BS assertion? Or just talking out your ass again. My guess is the latter and you will try linking to a post where you incorrectly claim mocking someone is whining about them (you know, like you have for years about many people on this board).

Now you will claim you have not been here for years and the circle of crap that is GP continues.

What I replied to when I said the facts don't support you...the bold is where my voting record proves Im not a lefty hack.

That and the FACT that Im simply not...unless you want to show me any topics I have started just crying about the right and parroting the party line for the left.

Even posts where I offer nothing more than lefty spew the way you do righty crap.

But you know what...its time to just do this instead...time to finally put a poster on ignore...because your BS has gotten too old and its just not worth flooding the board with more beat downs of such a clown like you.

Good day.

It's tough to fix a issue like this if you're not willing the take the medicine. Therefore no matter who is in office R or D the deficit will never really come down much - granted there is likely less adding to it under the R's -- well unless there's a war brewing :(

I think the current Rs will talk about wanting to add less. The previous actions of the party show something different.

And both sides will continue to tug at the heart strings when it comes time to really "cut"..."think of the children" and so on.

Any good candidates yet? All bitching no opinion??

Don't know a name man

If there was a "canidate" on either side R or D -- who.............

A. Who was able to run without "owing" anyone for helping him get elected

B. Very smart in Buisiness

C. Able to hold his own on the world stage

D. Elected the very best to his cabinet (whether R or D) and carefully listened to their advise but was willing to go against in certain cases if he efelt it right

E. Couldn't care less about "party" affiliation and cared about whats best for the country rather than his part line

While he wouldn't fit all the above - I like Bloomberg out of New York. He's a Business genius and not really left or right. He has 30 Bil so he doesn't need anyone's money to run he can foot the bill and not even notice it. But he won't run :( If you wanted a name that would be my pick

I completely agree with phurfer. Deficit growth is now and always has been my #1 concern. When I was a teen watching the Sunday morning talk shows back in the 80s, this the focus of my political obsession. They were talking about the massive debts we were piling up then were screwing the kids over- which I interpreted as they were screwing me and my generation over. It made me a bit obsessed with debt, some that that has always carried over.

I've been over this many times. It's part of the reason I moved overseas. Seeing decline all around you was inevitable when looking around Detroit in 2001. Now it's everywhere in the national news. At the time, I anticipated a sudden collapse, but now I see it's more just this slow, steady erosion as the country goes more and more broke. We're now in our 14th consecutive year of budgetary mismanagement with another 2.5 on tap. And how is this going to get solved? It seems to me the cockroaches have taken over.

Bloomberg is as far left as they come. No thanks. Business smarts...maybe. political smarts....no thanks.

Gotta keep things in perspective. I've read as a percentage of the Gross Domestic Product, America's debt is actually consistent with most countries.

I'd still like to see the debt reduced too, but concessions will have to be made somewhere.... military or social services (two biggest expenses). I'm for ending the ridiculously long war, but other than that don't EVER mess with the military budget! That leaves social services. Time for the government to say "we apologize for over-promising social-security and medicare, but it's just gotten too damn expensive. If we don't cut back we're projected to go broke."

Massive deficits, and servicing those deficits are what's bleeding the country dry. Fortunately interest rates are low.

Military spending to me is the enormous red blinking neon bullseye for cutting ahead of entitlement spending which in turn would have priority over tax increases. Together, military and entitlement spending squeezes everything else (the worthwhile stuff) out of the budget. There's only peanuts left over for everything else.

I hate being the global police, sending troops to get blown up in the service of dumbsh*t Muslims who both hate us and want in on our taxpayer provided gravy train. It also frees up everybody else's government (Europe, Japan, Korea, Canada) to not spend money on their military because Uncle Sucker is providing security it for them.

But everything I care about isn't up for discussion. I'm so thoroughly fed up that to me, at this point, I just want the ax to fall somewhere. I don't really care where anymore- pretty much any formula works at this point.

:shocking:

Bloomberg is lefter than Nancy Pelosi and has pockets twice as deep. No thanks.

Bloomberg turned a deficit into a surplus to balance New York's budget. That's exactly the thing I'm looking for that few others offer. Further he's willing to both raise taxes and cut entitlements. Pardon me while I stand and applaud. Granted, his nannystate instincts aren't for me but I can get over that. It's cautiously noted but secondary. He seems to have the same priorities that I do on the most important stuff. I'd sure lend him an ear.

I thought this was going to be about the right wing denying man's involvement in climate change. Being broke just won't really matter when our grandkids are facing the mess we'll be leaving them.

No I knew what was up immediately. Phurfer only cares about half the problems we're kicking down the road.

No answer from Phurfur after 24 hrs...not suprised. I guess he is just a cut and paste and complain type of guy.

At least Moz had the balls to post a candidate he thought would make a difference. Also good to see gobbledog and volty putting their opinion, and not just cut and paste whining. I personally am a fan of the Pauls. I also liked Mitch Daniels. I woul also like to hear more from Warner and Gillibrand.

He's Purdue University's president now. He might be tempted, I wish he would.
